The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring an exemplary experience for the service customer by providing a prompt and friendly greeting, listening to their description of problems or services needed, preparing repair orders and being proactive, accurate and thorough in communication. The Service Advisors serves as a liaison between customer and technician ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the recommended service and/or repairs are understood by the customer.

What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service guests and play a critical role in creating a seamless, professional, and luxury-level service experience.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns, document repair and maintenance needs accurately, coordinate with technicians and internal teams, and communicate clearly throughout the repair process.
- Greet guests promptly and professionally, review vehicle concerns, recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs and manufacturer guidelines, and prepare accurate repair orders.
- Provide timely updates, explain recommendations and repair findings in a way customers can understand, obtain approvals for additional work, and ensure guests are informed of pricing, timelines, and completion status.
- Work closely with technicians, parts, warranty, and management to ensure repair orders are written clearly, work is properly dispatched, and vehicles move efficiently through the service process.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer retention, service sales, and overall department performance by delivering a high standard of communication, follow-through, and guest care.
- Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, polished, guest-focused approach.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of repair order documentation, maintenance recommendations, warranty awareness, and service department workflow is highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet dealership and insurance requirements.
- The ideal candidate must be able to build rapport quickly, handle difficult conversations with professionalism, and maintain a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality or guest satisfaction.
Pay: $105,000 - $167,000 / year is the expected total annual earnings after factoring in all forms of compensation including hourly pay, commissions, overtime, benefits (vacation and sick), etc. Employees in this position will primarily be paid commissions based on performance but will also be paid minimum wage for non-sales work and for rest periods. Commissions range from $97,000 to $155,200 per year based on performance.
