They will be responsible for gathering, verifying and collating the information required to progress applications, while maintaining a high standard of service and communication throughout the process.

Policy: Ensure all activities are carried out in a competent and compliant manner, in line with internal policies, data protection requirements, regulatory standards and applicable legal requirements. Maintain accurate and complete records of introducer and applicant interactions, application information and supporting documentation, ensuring appropriate audit trails are maintained. Represent Fleximize professionally at all times and ensure introducers and applicants receive a consistently high standard of service. Monitor introducer performance and activity, identifying opportunities to increase application volumes and improve overall account performance.

Business Development & Opportunity Generation: Proactively identify opportunities to generate new applications and increase business from existing introducer relationships. Contact introducers and applicants to follow up on enquiries, potential opportunities and outstanding applications. Ensure all application information is recorded accurately on internal systems and communicated promptly to relevant teams.

Customer & Introducer Experience: Provide a professional, responsive and helpful service to both introducers and applicants throughout all interactions. Maintain clear and regular communication, ensuring expectations are managed appropriately and relevant parties are kept informed of application progress. Work to resolve queries or issues within the remit of the role and escalate appropriately where further support or decision-making is required. Build trust and credibility with introducers and applicants by providing accurate information, responding promptly and maintaining a consistent level of service.

Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Support, underwriting and compliance and other internal teams to ensure applications progress smoothly and efficiently. Provide colleagues with clear, accurate and complete information to support effective application assessment and processing. Liaise with other Business Development Managers and internal stakeholders where necessary to resolve potential issues and support introducer relationships. Share relevant introducer feedback, market insight and customer information where this can support decision-making, service improvements or future business development activity.

External Meetings & Events: Regular face-to-face engagement with introducers is a key requirement of the Business Development Manager role. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to introducer meetings, networking opportunities and relevant external events in order to develop relationships, review performance and generate new business opportunities. The expectation is that the Business Development Manager will spend time out of the office meeting introducers at least once per week, with additional travel required in line with business needs, introducer activity and commercial opportunities. Travel may involve driving to meetings across different locations and, as such, the role requires the successful candidate to hold a full valid driving licence and be able to travel independently as required. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for planning and managing their external meeting activity effectively, ensuring appropriate preparation is completed in advance and that all agreed actions, follow-ups and opportunities are progressed promptly following each meeting. Attend relevant industry events, networking opportunities and other external meetings where these are considered beneficial to the development of introducer relationships and the wider business.

Measures may include application volumes, funded business, revenue contribution, introducer performance, conversion levels and achievement of agreed monthly targets. External engagement will also form an important part of performance expectations. The Business Development Manager will be expected to maintain a consistent programme of face-to-face introducer engagement, with an expectation of being out of the office for introducer meetings or relevant business activity a minimum of once per week, and more frequently where required by the needs of the business. Additional measures will include the quality and accuracy of applications, responsiveness to introducers and applicants, maintenance of CRM and application records, relationship development activity, completion of agreed actions following external meetings, and contribution to wider team objectives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
