Job Title: Oracle Fusion Technical Data Conversion Lead

Location: Irvine, CA (3 days work from office per week)

Duration: Contract

Position Summary:

Lead end-to-end data conversion from JD Edwards (JDE), AS/400, and multiple boundary/legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. Own conversion strategy and technical execution, including extraction, profiling, mapping, transformation, cleansing, loading, validation, reconciliation, mock conversions, and production cutover. Partner with Oracle functional teams, business SMEs, source-system owners, integration teams, and program leadership to ensure accurate, complete, and timely migration of business-critical data.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the data conversion strategy, architecture, planning, and execution across JDE, AS/400, and boundary systems.

Define and manage the conversion object inventory, scope, dependencies, sequencing, schedule, and readiness criteria.

Lead data extraction from JDE, AS/400/DB2, databases, files, APIs, SaaS platforms, and other boundary systems.

Develop and review source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, cleansing logic, defaults, lookups, and cross-references.

Lead Oracle Fusion data loads using FBDI, REST/SOAP services, OIC, ADFdi, ESS/import processes, and approved ETL tools.

Coordinate conversion across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Order Management, Inventory, and Manufacturing domains.

Establish automated validation and reconciliation using record counts, financial/control totals, inventory quantities, referential-integrity checks, and exception reporting.

Lead Mock Conversions, Dress Rehearsal, and Production Cutover; resolve load failures and improve success rates and runtime each cycle.

Develop the conversion runbook covering final extraction, freeze timing, load sequencing, reconciliation, business validation, and sign-off.

Lead onsite/offshore developers and report conversion status, risks, issues, dependencies, and readiness to program leadership.

Required skills and experience:

10+ years of ERP/data-conversion experience and 5+ years of Oracle applications experience, preferably Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

Led at least one full-cycle Oracle Fusion implementation or enterprise data migration, including multiple mock cycles and go-live cutover.

Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle FBDI, Fusion import/load processes, SQL, ETL, staging, transformation, error handling, and reconciliation.

Experience converting data from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, AS/400/IBM i, and third-party or custom boundary systems.

Working knowledge of JDE data structures across Finance, Address Book, Item Master, Inventory, Procurement, Sales, and Manufacturing.

Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion business-object dependencies, conversion sequencing, data governance, and systems of record.

Experience with OIC, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, PL/SQL, Mulesoft, or comparable integration technologies is preferred.

Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder-management, and executive communication skills.
