Your work will directly impact the reliability and safety of the food we produce, supporting our mission to deliver better food to kitchens everywhere. This role is essential to maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and customer expectations, helping Flora Food Group build trust and long-term relationships. By partnering closely with Production and Operations, you will help solve quality challenges and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing process.

What you'll do

  • Conduct analytical, sensory, and microbiological evaluations of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Monitor packaging quality, including appearance, fill weights, and code dates, and communicate deviations to support resolution.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing and maintain laboratory equipment and documentation according to Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Assist with quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in site quality improvement initiatives and support food safety programs, including HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Performance You will own the accuracy and reliability of quality data that drives operational decisions and product compliance. Your role ensures that product specifications such as moisture, pH, and sensory attributes meet standards, reducing defects and supporting continuous improvement. By delivering timely and precise quality insights, you help maintain regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

Care This role reports to the Quality Manager and works closely with Production, Operations, and Food Safety teams. You will uphold rigorous quality governance and accountability, ensuring that every decision supports long-term food safety and product excellence. Your collaboration across teams fosters a culture of care for our people, consumers, and communities, building a sustainable future for Flora Food Group.

Passion As a food lover and quality enthusiast, you bring curiosity and precision to every test and evaluation. You understand the importance of taste, nutrition, and product functionality in creating food that delights consumers. Your commitment to quality reflects our passion for better food and innovation, helping us raise the bar in food safety and product reliability.

About you You have a background in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience in food manufacturing quality or food safety environments. You are skilled in analytical testing, data interpretation, and laboratory practices. Your attention to detail and problem-solving mindset help you identify issues and implement effective solutions. You communicate clearly and work well both independently and with cross-functional teams. You take pride in your role as a guardian of food quality and safety. You take pride in working for a company with over 150 years of expertise in food, and you understand that excellent work in every function is what allows Flora Food Group to put better food on tables around the world. You bring the same rigour and care to your discipline that our teams bring to every product, because how we work is as important as what we make.

Where this could lead to This role typically leads to senior quality or food safety positions within manufacturing or operations, where you can take on greater responsibility for quality systems and team leadership. Over time, you may progress to roles that influence broader site or regional quality strategies, shaping how Flora Food Group delivers excellence across multiple products and facilities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
