This person will need to be located in Eastern WI Summary Mechatronic Solutions is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base and expand sales throughout Eastern Wisconsin. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, and providing technical expertise in industrial automation technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of automation solutions including motion control, robotics, pneumatics, machine safety, machine vision, industrial controls, conveyors, and electromechanical systems. Success in this role requires a consultative approach to selling, a genuine interest in helping customers solve engineering challenges, and the drive to grow a territory. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will work closely with customers, supplier partners, application engineers, and automation specialists to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and support projects from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout the assigned territory. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve territory sales objectives. Build a deep understanding of customer operations, challenges, and strategic goals. Partner with customers through the design and development process, providing technical expertise and product recommendations. Analyze customer applications and recommend automation solutions from Mechatronic Solutions’ product portfolio. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations. Coordinate with Application Engineers and Automation Specialists to develop and support customer solutions. Work closely with supplier partners to uncover opportunities and deliver best-in-class support. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunities, and project tracking in Salesforce CRM. Develop and execute a territory plan to increase market share and expand account penetration. Attend customer meetings, industry events, supplier trainings, and trade shows as needed. Travel regularly throughout Eastern Wisconsin to support customers and prospect new business. Support company initiatives, marketing campaigns, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Qualifications Required

Associate’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automation Technology, or a related technical field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in industrial automation, technical sales, applications engineering, or a closely related technical role. Working knowledge of one or more of the following:

Robotics Motion control and servo systems Pneumatics Machine vision Machine safety Industrial controls Electromechanical automation

Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and manage accounts. Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Highly organized with strong time-management and follow-through. Self-motivated and able to work independently from a home office. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the territory. Located within approximately a 1–2 hour drive of Milwaukee.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Automation Technology. Established relationships within Eastern Wisconsin manufacturing and automation markets. Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM. Experience with value-based or solution-oriented selling methodologies. Familiarity with machine builders, OEMs, systems integrators, and manufacturing end users. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
