Football Trader

Location: Dublin (2 days/hybrid)

As a Football Trader you will have the opportunity to channel your innovative and inquisitive attitude into producing an exciting, bespoke product to Flutter customers across the world on Flutter’s biggest sport. We need a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to use analytical & communication skills to drive the growth of our products. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys using data to make decisions, is enthusiastic about continuous learning opportunities within a constantly evolving business environment and takes a customer first approach to their work. The role involves shift work so being available during evenings and weekends is required. What you'll take on Manage Football betting odds and markets for Flutter's 9 million Football customers globally, driving business performance through exceptional execution and quality standards.

  • Monitor betting on football markets, adjusting odds based on real-time data and customer behaviour.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency to reduce error rates and their impact. Consistently follow quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and decision quality.
  • Market analysis and planning for the key events shaping our approach to trading the world's biggest Football events.
  • Embrace emerging technologies such as AI to evolve the way we operate.
  • Collaborate with the broader Risk & Trading department to collectively deliver against our objectives.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Streamline processes and introduce innovative solutions that contribute to operational excellence and better service delivery.
  • Develop skills by taking on initiatives outside of operational tasks. Success in role will give opportunity to collaborate with an array of partners across the business.
  • Take a customer centric approach to ensure a flawless experience. Understand our competitor landscape to swiftly adapt to market changes and evolve our proposition.

What you'll bring

  • Operational Excellence: Understand that adherence to best practice is critical to success. Willing to challenge processes where you see opportunities for improvement, backing suggestions with evidence and data. You take pride in precision and attention to detail.
  • Analytical Skills: Think critically and solve problems creatively using available data. You recognize that an 80:20 approach to problem-solving is sometimes the right call, balancing rigor with pragmatism.
  • Openly Curious: Inquisitive attitude, questioning why certain trends are happening. Ability to quickly analyze and resolve new issues as they arise.
  • Sports betting mathematics: Understanding sports betting mathematics is a plus. Willingness to learn and grow skills in this area is a must.
  • Prioritisation & Execution: You thrive in fast-paced environments. You're organized, manage concurrent tasks effectively, and make sound decisions quickly under pressure.
  • Collaborative Attitude: Communicate effectively across teams, share knowledge with colleagues, actively seek and value input from others to solve problems collectively.
