The Internal Evaluation Program Auditor (IEP) is responsible for the day-to-day administrative activities of Breeze’s Internal Evaluation. They will develop, prepare, administer, and respond to internal audits and other activities under the leadership of Breeze’s Manager, Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) Manager.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Plan quality internal audits, including the preparation of audit checklists and the yearly and monthly audit calendar timetable
  • Deliver quality audits – by reviewing manual content and records, conducting interviews, and observing workplace practices
  • Document audit findings and generate audit reports
  • Review and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken to address audit findings
  • Under direction from the Manager, IEP, the auditor is responsible for currency of all checklists, IEP schedule, and IEP manual in adherence to audit requirements
  • Conduct training for IEP program in person and/or remotely via collaboration software
  • Plan, organize, and maintain IEP schedules
  • Assist Manager, IEP in annual budget planning
  • Responsible for resolving audit discrepancies with all levels of leadership
  • Conduct training for IEP program in person and/or remotely via collaboration software, as assigned
  • Responsible for trending IEP Data to identify organization top risk
  • Responsible for program development under direction from Manager, IEP.
  • Interface with all Safety department team members on projects, SMS programs, and data analytics
  • Listen, observe, and review records and documents, and communicate effectively
  • Understand and communicate the components of the Safety Management System and their relationship to IEP
  • Understand and communicate the applicable standards, laws, and regulations (including, but not limited to FARs, DoD requirements, IOSA standards and recommended practices)
  • Communicate findings to all levels of leadership, including executive leadership
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence

Here’s what you need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in an Aviation Safety-related field or 4+ years additional experience in IEP, auditing, project management, technical writing, contingency planning, or curriculum development/facilitation
  • 2+ years of 121 or 135 Aviation Experience
  • 2+ years project management, technical writing, and/or curriculum development
  • Ability to audit and compare technical documents to FAA DCTs and/or other regulatory standards
  • Must have and maintain a valid passport, or be cleared to travel internationally
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings with all levels of leadership and business partners
  • Comfortable delivering training/facilitating in front of large groups, including all levels of leadership and business partners
  • Demonstrated abilities in self organization, self-starting work ethic
  • Must be able/willing to travel to fulfill the needs of the programs, up to average 50% of the time
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirements
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

Preferred Qualifications

  • IATA Airline Quality Management course completion credentials
  • Experience with auditing for IOSA
  • Maintaining an audit budget
  • 1+ year of facilitation experience
  • Background in 121 Aviation preferred/Airline or travel industry experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including familiarity with using Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
  • Ability to make sound business decisions based on company needs

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment
  • Clear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and vision
