Job Description:

Role: TGI Intern

Overview

FleishmanHillard is seeking an intern with an interest in research and strategy to join its TRUE Global Intelligence team in one of the following U.S. office locations: Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, St. Louis or Washington DC. This hybrid role will support both primary research and communications measurement, providing exposure to qualitative and quantitative research, media and social intelligence, audience analysis, and performance measurement.

Our team of analysts provides below-the-surface analytics, measurement, and insights discovery capabilities to help companies accomplish their business objectives. Furthermore, we assess audiences, channels and content – and the interplay among them – to arrive at the most actionable strategy. We are looking for someone who is curious, analytically minded, comfortable learning new tools and methods, and motivated to turn complex information into clear, evidence-based insights.

FleishmanHillard believes a diverse team brings a wider range of personal and professional experiences and perspectives. We recognize that diversity and inclusion benefit our agency, our clients, and the communities in which we work and live. To that end, we strongly encourage applications from women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. As part of our ongoing effort to be the world’s most inclusive agency, we are committed to seeking candidates who possess and demonstrate a profound interest in furthering our DE&I goals.

Responsibilities

· Monitor digital news stories

· Conduct secondary research via Google, research databases and other sources, including media and social platforms and emerging research tools; evaluating source credibility and synthesizing findings across multiple inputs

· Assist with qualitative and/or quantitative primary research projects, including conducting survey data cleaning, taking notes during focus groups/in-depth interviews, analyzing and QCing data, and contributing to research reports

· Support communications measurement and analytics projects by organizing, cleaning, validating and analyzing media, social, audience, survey and other datasets

· Assist with media analysis projects by creating charts in Excel and developing insights to explain key findings

· Identify meaningful trends, patterns, anomalies and questions in data, and help connect findings to the communications or business question being addressed

· Build clear charts, tables and visualizations in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint that communicate analytical findings effectively

· Use AI-enabled and other emerging research tools responsibly to improve research efficiency, explore hypotheses and support analysis, while validating outputs and sources

· Employ excellent time management to deliver multiple assignments on deadline while collaborating across teams

Please submit your resume to apply. Cover letters are optional – though they can be an opportunity to discuss your interest in the internship in greater detail, or discuss your experience if it isn’t directly related to communications or research & analytics. Writing samples are optional as well, but highly encouraged.

Qualifications

· Academic coursework or professional experience in secondary research, such as literature reviews, research papers and media summaries

· Innate curiosity to learn more and dig deeper

· Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to condense and summarize research data into meaningful findings

· Ability to evaluate source credibility, recognize limitations or inconsistencies in information, and maintain accuracy and data integrity

· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

· Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team and respond constructively to feedback

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

· Experience with survey research, social listening, data visualization, statistical tools, coding or AI tools is also a plus, but not expected

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
