Job Description:

Senior Associate Planning

Role overview

The Senior Associate supports the development and delivery of integrated media plans, with ownership of defined workstreams, budgets, analysis, and coordination. The role builds deep planning craft alongside broader consumer, digital, data, technology, and business fluency.

Role purpose

Deliver accurate, timely planning work; turn information into useful insights; communicate changes clearly; and take ownership of assigned tasks through completion.

Key responsibilities

Support audience and media planning

· Build knowledge of assigned brands, consumers, categories, relevant retail or commerce context, and business objectives.

· Gather audience, category, competitive, cultural, and media information; organize findings and identify implications for planning.

· Support paid media recommendations, channel roles, reach and frequency projections, and full-funnel planning across relevant platforms.

· Contribute to the connection between long-term brand building and near-term performance by considering how audiences encounter and act on media.

Manage assigned work and budget details

· Maintain budgets, flowcharts, authorizations, media plans, pacing documents, status sheets, and other planning records with careful attention to detail.

· Pull and organize projections, platform data, research, and campaign results using approved tools; check inputs and flag gaps or inconsistencies.

· Coordinate plan changes, timelines, meeting recaps, and deliverables with the expanded team and media partners.

· Complete quality checks before sharing materials and communicate risks, dependencies, and timing changes promptly.

Build digital, data, and technology fluency

· Use relevant digital platforms, research sources, planning tools, and measurement systems to support recommendations and reporting.

· Help track campaign outcomes against agreed brand and performance measures; summarize what happened, what was learned, and questions for follow-up.

· Use approved automation, AI-enabled tools, and agentic workflows to support research, organization, and analysis; verify outputs, protect sensitive information, and ask for human review where needed.

· Keep learning about changes in platforms, media behavior, and planning tools, and share useful findings with the team.

Collaborate and grow planning capability

· Work constructively with planners and partners across media, commerce, CRM, creative, content, creators, data, technology, analytics, and measurement.

· Ask focused questions, take initiative on clearly assigned work, and bring forward practical options when an issue arises.

· Support assistants through example, clear guidance, and quality review as appropriate; seek and apply feedback to strengthen craft.

· Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accurate work, clear communication, and reliable follow-through.

Qualifications and experience

· 1–2 years of media planning experience, or equivalent relevant experience.

· Experience with CPG or consumer brands, or transferable experience demonstrating knowledge of consumer behavior and category, retail, or commerce dynamics.

· Working understanding of media fundamentals and comfort planning across channels and platforms.

· Basic experience with budgets, planning documentation, research, reporting, and campaign tracking.

· Comfort working with data, analytics, measurement, and presentation materials; ability to explain findings clearly.

· Interest in developing digital, platform, automation, AI-enabled, and agentic workflow fluency, with care for accuracy and responsible use.

· Strong organization, communication, collaboration, and follow-through; readiness to take ownership of defined deliverables and grow leadership skills.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Leadership in practice

Success in this role reflects the following leadership dimensions, expressed at the level of the role:

· Driving Innovation and Driving Change: Shows curiosity, shares useful ideas, and learns new tools and ways of working.

· Processing Information and Solving Problems: Collects accurate information, spots patterns or gaps, and brings questions or workable next steps.

· Influencing Others and Teamwork: Communicates clearly, follows through, and contributes positively across the planning team and partners.

· Dealing With Ambiguity and Taking Initiative: Moves assigned work forward, asks for context when needed, and adapts as priorities evolve.

Taking Smart Risks and Driving Strategy: Uses good judgment, checks assumptions, and understands how assigned tasks connect to broader objectives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
