Job Description:

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join one of our development teams to provide analytical excellence within Compliance Technology to deliver modern solutions. The candidate should be deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers. You will be responsible for collaborating with other team members, team leaders, business and technology partners in various business units across the firm to help establish the requirements for your team, influencing strategic decisions and help build solutions for your domain. You need to gain a deep understanding of the existing business and managed applications to assist with requirements and design of updated technology solutions.

We are looking for candidates with 5 plus years of related experience in data or system analysis.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Work with business and technology partners to identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in terms of business/data/system requirements; document system integrations and flows, create stories and processes. Participate in the development and review of test plans for Quality Assurance.
  • Ability to work with business or technology stakeholders in defining problem statements, suggests options and bring solutions.
  • Individual who can work independently with minimum supervision in a highly functioning team under pressure.
  • Must have strong SQL, PL/SQL, and/or Python skills.
  • Familiarity with Capital Markets domain and having experience analyzing customer, accounts and trade data coming from order processing systems is preferred not required.
  • You are familiar with database design concepts and have worked on a variety of database platforms such as Oracle, Data Verse, Snowflake, AWS S3 etc.
  • You have experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams. You can identify alternative approaches and make recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each approach.
  • You understand and communicate sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with global development team and customer/team leader. Support project and release planning and testing.
  • Adaptable and agile, can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and make project adjustments to prioritize effectively and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment

The Team

We are part of Fidelity Capital Markets Supervision technology team within Compliance Technology domain that builds cloud-native Supervision Platform to analyze trade activities, such as orders, executions, and other trade-related data. Our goal is to identify any potential violations of internal policies or regulatory requirements related to trading activities within the financial industry. As the analyst you will work iteratively across the project lifecycle, identifying and defining needs as well as contributing to analysis, design, and delivery towards program roadmap.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
