The posting

The Project Engineer supports the design and development of products and product improvements for Flex-N-Gate and its divisions. The role is an integral part of the engineering team that leads projects from initial design concept through development and commercializationResponsibilities:•    Prepare monthly/yearly budget•    Ability to utilize CAD and CAM software and Microsoft Access•    Understand Bill of Materials•    Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology, including principals, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods•    Knowledge of mechanical and design tools•    Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs for maximizing manufacturing•    Troubleshooting•    Coordinate safety or regulatory compliance activities•    Implement design or process improvements as well as run rates.•    Help with floor layouts/cell designs•    Work with packaging engineer for initial prototype packaging •    Evaluates manufacturing processes, designs new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.•    Participates actively and effectively in continuous improvement plans related to position responsibilities•    Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.•    Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. •    Performs all other tasks as assigned by management.•    Conduct regular continuous improvement meetings with multiple departments. Document cost saving improvements for monthly review with senior management.•    Maintain manufacturing process documentation, Operator Work Instructions, Work Cycle Breakdown, Packaging Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams.•    Conduct cycle time studies for equipment run at rate. Conduct periodic cycle time studies for manufacturing inefficiencies or improvements.•    Excellent planning and organizational skills.•    Effective verbal and written communication skills.•    Strong leadership abilities, able to lead effective meetings.•    Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.•    The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.•    The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) as stated in CQAM.00001 – Corporate Quality Manual.
