The posting

Fondomonte is seeking a dependable security guard to help maintain a safe and secure environment at our farming and hay press facility. The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors by monitoring access, activity, and company property from the assigned security post. Security Guards help prevent loss and damage by identifying and reporting irregularities to their direct supervisor and site management, while conducting facility patrols as assigned or needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control property access; ensure only authorized personnel enter the site
  • Maintain visitor and delivery logs
  • Assist vendors with check-in procedures
  • Conduct foot patrols to monitor for safety hazards, suspicious activity, or policy violations
  • Inspect buildings, doors, and gates to ensure security
  • Enforce company Health & Safety policies
  • Document incidents and report concerns to management
  • Provide assistance and direction to employees and visitors

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior security experience preferred but not required (training provided)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if needed
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work independently
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and any other required pre-employment screenings, consistent with California law

Work Environment

This role requires working outdoors and may involve walking, standing, and performing physical tasks.

Starting Pay Rate - $16.00-$18.00/HR

This position offers up to 40 hours per week.
