Ko wai mātou – About us
Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right? That’s us!
With 300+ stores and over 27,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life. Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.
Part of our Finance function, Enterprise Transformation shapes and leads our Co-op's biggest changes, from the first idea and business case through to delivery and results. We partner with leaders across the business to invest in the right things and make sure they’re adopted well in stores and support teams.
Te Tūranga – About the role
Change is happening across Foodies, and we're ready to make it a bigger part of how we deliver. As our Enterprise Change Practice Lead, you'll define and champion our change practice. You'll grow the business's appreciation of why change matters and make sure it's built into our programmes of work from the start. You'll lead a team of Change Managers and work with senior leaders to make sure our biggest initiatives land well in our stores, distribution centres and support teams.
We're early in our change journey, and this is your chance to shape it. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Transformation, you'll be a senior leader who creates and leads our enterprise change practice. You'll set the standards, frameworks and ways of working that help us lead people through change consistently. You'll also show the business the value of doing it well. It's a hands-on role for someone who can design the practice and then drive it into action.
In this role, you will:
- Build and lead our Change Centre of Excellence, including its vision, services, priorities, measures of success and a team of Change Managers
- Create the frameworks, playbooks, templates and readiness tools that help people adopt new ways of working
- Own our change and communications strategy, so every major programme has a clear story and plan
- Advise executives, Boards and sponsors on change impacts and adoption
- Track adoption and benefits, and grow change capability across the business
Ngā painga - What we offer
We’re committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including offering a range of benefits:
- Free carparking - we’ve got over 1,000 carparks including EV plugs
- Southern Cross health insurance
- Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, 5% discount at our retail stores
- Flexible working options, a day off on your birthday, long service leave
- Inhouse learning and development programmes and courses, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes).
He kōrero mōu - About you
You're an experienced change and communications leader who's equally comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up your sleeves. You'll likely bring:
- Experience creating or leading an enterprise change practice, team or centre of excellence
- Strong storytelling and influencing skills, with the confidence to present to Boards and senior leaders and show the value of change
- The ability to navigate complex stakeholder groups across multiple functions and governance forums
- Exposure to frontline retail, and a knack for improving processes that affect customer engagement
- Knowledge of change methodologies, and the judgement to adapt them.
- A track record of leading and developing change practitioners
We’re interested in your diverse experiences, your strengths, and how adaptable you are to learn and grow. If you don’t meet every requirement, but feel this role could be for you, we’d still love to hear from you.
Experience awesome. Achieve awesome. Be awesomely you.
