The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance function supporting Fora’s Management Partnerships, taking ownership of high-quality financial reporting, planning and commercial insight across the portfolio.

This is more than a traditional financial reporting role. You’ll build a detailed understanding of the commercial and operational drivers behind each Partnership, using that knowledge to strengthen financial performance, improve decision-making and provide credible insight to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Alongside leading and developing a small finance team, you’ll take ownership of the processes and controls behind our Management Partnerships, helping create consistent, scalable ways of working as the portfolio continues to grow.

Working Pattern

Please note this position is 4 days in the office and 1 day working from anywhere.

What You’ll Be Doing

Management Partnership Performance & Reporting

  • Take ownership of financial reporting across the Management Partnerships portfolio, ensuring stakeholders have a clear and accurate view of performance.
  • Oversee month-end reporting across P&Ls, balance sheets, management fees, profit share calculations and Partnership-specific accounting.
  • Turn performance against budget, forecast and prior periods into meaningful insight, ensuring key drivers, risks and opportunities are understood.
  • Lead the financial input into quarterly partner and Board reporting, alongside ongoing Partnership KPI reporting.

Financial Planning & Commercial Insight

  • Lead budgeting and reforecasting for Management Partnerships, connecting financial plans to the operational and commercial realities behind them.
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve forecast accuracy and strengthen financial accountability.
  • Provide financial analysis for existing and new Management Partnerships and strategic initiatives.
  • Use your understanding of performance to identify opportunities to improve returns across individual Partnerships.

Business Partnering & Partnerships

  • Act as a senior Finance partner to the Partnerships team and senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Build credible relationships with external partners, providing clear financial insight and commercially relevant recommendations.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of Management Agreements and ensure their financial implications are reflected in reporting, planning and decision-making.
  • Bring constructive challenge to assumptions and decisions, helping stakeholders balance financial performance with wider commercial priorities.

Team Leadership & Financial Control

  • Lead and develop the Management Partnerships finance team, creating clear priorities, strong financial disciplines and a culture of ownership.
  • Coach and challenge the team across reporting, forecasting and analysis, helping build both technical and business-partnering capability.
  • Maintain strong financial control across Management Partnerships, including appropriate oversight of balance sheet positions, control accounts and reconciliations.
  • Work closely with the wider Finance team to resolve accounting, control and reporting issues and ensure the appropriate treatment of capital expenditure and partner recharges.

Process, Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Shape financial processes and reporting that can scale as the Management Partnerships portfolio develops.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate reporting, improving both efficiency and the accessibility of financial information.
  • Strengthen existing controls and ways of working, making sure reporting remains consistent and reliable.
  • Partner with the wider Finance team on systems, data and reporting improvements.

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with a minimum of four years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong management accounting experience, including P&L and balance sheet ownership, variance analysis and commercially focused recommendations.
  • Strong Finance business partnering experience, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis.
  • Experience managing and developing a Finance team.
  • Experience working with senior internal stakeholders and external commercial partners.
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting capability.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex financial datasets.
  • Experience improving Finance processes, reporting or systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and management reporting.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within real estate, hospitality or another multi-site operational business.
  • Experience with SAP ByDesign.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
