About Fora

Fora is the modern travel agency, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs to build thriving travel advisory businesses. We're modernizing the $100B+ travel industry with AI woven through every part of the advisor's workflow, plus global supplier relationships, personalized training, and a vibrant community, all in one place. That's what lets advisors build businesses that scale, while their taste and service create trips no algorithm alone could plan. At the heart of it all is our mission: to help the next generation of travel entrepreneurs turn their love for travel into a fulfilling career, whether full-time or part-time.

We're mission-driven and obsessed with our customers, and we believe humans and AI are both essential: the best work here comes from people and technology at their best, together. That's not just a philosophy about our product, it's how we build our team. Everyone at Fora gets hands-on with frontier AI tooling as part of the job. At Fora, you'll learn to be AI-fluent, with real experience applying AI to solve problems day to day, wherever you sit in the company.

Founded in 2021, Fora has grown to a team of 250+ full-time employees based in downtown New York City. In 2026, we closed a $60 million Series D led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, with continued backing from Thrive Capital, Insight Partners, and Heartcore Capital. We've been named a LinkedIn Top Startup (2024), one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies (2023 and 2025), and one of TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies (2026).

Come build something that hasn't existed before.

About The Role

Cruise is one of the most exciting growth opportunities at Fora, and we're looking for a Cruise Operations Lead to help us build the infrastructure to scale it.

As we expand our cruise business, we're rethinking how modern technology, smarter operations, and better supplier connectivity can transform the way travel advisors sell and manage cruises. We're looking for an innovative operator who can bridge deep cruise industry expertise with a passion for building scalable systems.

In this role, you'll own the operational foundation of our cruise business, spanning group inventory, booking accuracy, commission integrity, and the launch and adoption of our cruise booking technology. You'll work at the intersection of travel, technology, and operations, partnering closely with our Cruise, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Payment Operations, and Support teams to turn complex industry workflows into simple, reliable experiences for advisors.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a growing business within Fora. You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, challenge how things have traditionally been done, and build the processes and technology that allow us to scale. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable solving a complicated booking issue today and designing a system that eliminates that issue tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the core operations that power Fora's cruise business, including group inventory management, booking quality, supplier workflows, and commission accuracy.
  • Build, automate, and continuously improve operational processes for cruise deals and cross-border selling, including streamlining data ingestion, standardizing workflows, and ensuring scalable, accurate maintenance of supplier information and selling rules.
  • Develop a scalable approach to managing HQ-held group inventory, from securing and monitoring space to optimizing utilization and ensuring advisors can confidently book available inventory.
  • Identify opportunities to improve booking conversion, reduce operational friction, and create a more seamless experience for advisors selling cruises.
  • Establish operational standards, controls, and performance metrics that support continued growth without adding unnecessary complexity.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years in an operational or a similar role.
  • 2+ years of hands-on cruise operations, such as group inventory, bookings and modifications, supplier management, or commission reconciliation.
  • Uses AI tools daily and has built at least one AI-powered workflow, agent, or automation that replaced manual work.
  • Has owned an operational workflow end to end, with a metric they reported on and improved.
  • Has led a root-cause review of a recurring issue that resulted in a shipped fix.
  • Uses SQL to pull and analyze data and has built dashboards or reports that others use to make decisions.
  • Has written SOPs, runbooks, or ticket specs that others used without a walkthrough.
  • Has written operational tickets that engineering scoped and shipped.
  • Has turned an unscoped problem into a defined process, tool, or ticket without a spec to start from.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with cruise booking platforms, GDS systems, supplier APIs, or other travel distribution technology.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, or similar.
  • Has helped get a support team ready for a product launch (help center content, routing, escalation paths).

Compensation

The indicative range for this role is $92K–$116K + equity. Where a candidate lands within in the range reflects their experience and the scope of responsibility they bring.

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Health Insurance (including an option completely covered by Fora HQ)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Wellhub Memberships
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Stock Options

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca/Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
