The posting

Position details Preferred start date: 1 March 2027 Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, approximately 9am–3pm in Dubai, with flexibility while travelling. Planning time: Additional time for lesson planning and preparation to be agreed with the family. Accommodation: A separate apartment in Dubai and a private room or separate accommodation while travelling. Salary: Monthly salary in AED, to be agreed according to qualifications and experience. Forbes Nannies is seeking a qualified, engaging private educator for a Dubai-based family with three children aged seven, five and three. The children currently attend a British curriculum school in Dubai. The family is considering a transition to home education from the third term of the 2026–27 school year and would like the educator to join in March, giving everyone time to get to know one another before the transition. The family travels for several months each year. They would like one educator who knows the children well, understands what each child has already learned and can pick up where they left off when the family moves. The parents value steady academic progress alongside outdoor play, creative projects and opportunities to learn from the places they visit. The children and their learning Eldest daughter, aged seven. She enjoys maths and science and is developing into a fluent reader. She would benefit from opportunities to extend her vocabulary and comprehension, investigate questions that interest her and take on more challenging work at a comfortable pace. Younger daughter, aged five. Creative and artistic, she engages particularly well with hands-on activities. Short, regular sessions will help her consolidate phonics, early reading and number skills. Drawing, making and practical activities can also support her fine motor development. Youngest son, aged three. He enjoys joining in with his sisters. His programme will centre on play, conversation, stories, movement and outdoor exploration, with early sounds, counting and everyday routines that encourage independence and school readiness. Teaching responsibilities Get to know each child’s starting point and build a manageable weekly learning plan. Follow the British curriculum as the main reference and consider Canadian curriculum expectations to keep a future return to school in Canada open. Provide short, individual reading and maths sessions for the older children, with play-based learning for the youngest. Balance individual teaching with activities all three can enjoy at different levels. Develop practical projects around the children’s interests. These could include a science investigation, a building challenge, a nature study or a small shop project that brings together counting, writing and imaginative play. Research museums, science centres, workshops and outdoor activities ahead of each destination. Contact venues where helpful, choose activities suited to the children’s ages and build on the experience afterwards. Keep a straightforward record of what each child is working on, what they can now do independently and what comes next. Share a brief update at a weekly check-in with their mother, who will be the educator’s main point of contact. Working arrangements and travel In Dubai, the proposed day runs from around 9am to 3pm, with a lunch break, time outdoors and two days off each week. During travel, the timetable may vary to accommodate journeys, family plans and educational visits. Time for lesson planning and preparation will be agreed with the family. The role focuses on the children’s education. The family has nanny support in Dubai, and a nanny is expected to accompany them on most trips. Their grandmother usually helps when the nanny is unable to travel. The educator will coordinate with the adults caring for the children so that each child has time for individual teaching. Dubai will remain the family’s main base. Their provisional plans for 2027 include time in Dubai until mid-April, followed by travel to China and/or Japan, then North America, with much of the summer and early autumn likely to be spent in Canada. The itinerary may change, so the position would suit someone comfortable living abroad for extended periods. The family will provide a separate apartment in Dubai and private accommodation during travel, which may be a room or a separate apartment depending on the destination. Candidate profile The family is looking for someone with a recognised teaching qualification, experience across early years and primary education, and the ability to teach confidently in English. A background that extends through the primary years would be particularly welcome, as the parents would like someone who can continue to teach the children as they grow. The right person will be warm, energetic and imaginative, with the confidence to set clear expectations and help the children follow through. They should be able to demonstrate how they have taught foundational literacy and maths, adapted an activity for different ages and communicated progress to parents. Experience with the British curriculum is particularly relevant. Familiarity with Canadian education, homeschooling or teaching in a private household would be an advantage. The family would especially welcome an additional language such as French or Spanish. Montessori training and an ability to introduce early coding are also valued. Applications Please send your CV to Forbes Nannies with a brief outline of your teaching qualifications, the ages and curricula you have taught, and any relevant private household or international experience. Please include your availability for a March 2027 start, salary expectations in AED per month and ability to travel for extended periods. The family is open to interviewing suitable candidates ahead of the start date. Teaching credentials, professional references and relevant safeguarding checks will form part of the recruitment process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
