In this Staff Software Engineering role, you’ll be…

  • Responsible for the full product development end-to-end.
  • A technical lighthouse, defining architecture, balancing business needs with long-term technical health, and coordinating with other engineers to move how we do engineering forward.
  • Collaborating across Engineering, Product, and Design to shape the solution to the problem and oversee technical implementations from end to end.
  • A leader and mentor without direct people management. Continuous learning and knowledge-sharing are in your DNA, as you challenge the status quo, unblock engineers across the organisation, and mentor senior team members to help them achieve greater impact.

Who is the GRC Infrastructure Team?

The GRC Infrastructure team is the core team of our Formalize product, which works on our strategic mission to build the flexible and secure engine that powers our entire Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform.

Here, the team designs, builds, and maintains the foundational modules to support our customers in their GRC needs.

Essentially, we build things from an infrastructure-first principle, where we solve specific GRC problems with generic and flexible modules to allow our customers to shape our software to their specific needs.

What you’ll bring:

  • Expert knowledge in at least one layer of our technical stack (we work with PHP and Angular), as well as general software architecture and system design.
  • Demonstrated staff experience in a Software Engineering role, designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable systems in production, end-to-end.
  • Experience in product development with a focus on quality and value delivery.
  • The ability to clearly define technical direction for systems and lead deep architectural and software design sessions.
  • Good engineering practices for testing, deployment, & observability paired with the ability to communicate strategic trade-offs clearly, mentor senior colleagues, and increase impact across the organisation.
  • The ability to raise the bar for engineering quality and performance through reference implementations and by defining ever-evolving code standards.

  • A starting salary of 79,000 DKK per month. As you grow within this role, your compensation can grow with you up to 89,000 DKK per month.

Our recruitment process:

  4. Completion of Personality Assessment & 1h Technical Assessment. A collaborative no-coding session where we work through building a real feature in Formalize: clarifying requirements, data modelling, and walking through pseudo-code together.
  5. 30-minute walkthrough of our career framework and offer details.
  6. 60-minute in-person interview to meet the team.
