At JBT Marel, we are looking for an experienced and visionary Sourcing Director to join the EMEA Prepared Foods Leadership Team. In this strategic leadership role, you will define and drive the sourcing strategy across equipment and spare parts categories while building and developing a high-performing sourcing organization.

You will play a critical role in delivering competitive advantage through supplier partnerships, cost optimization, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the regional sourcing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Drive procurement excellence across direct and indirect sourcing categories.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost competitiveness, mitigate supply chain risks, and enhance supplier performance.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives that contribute to margin improvement and long-term business value.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing professionals across the region.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build organizational capabilities to support future business growth.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Establish and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements and drive favorable outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Service, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment between sourcing activities and business priorities. Ensure cooperation with the corporate supply chain function
  • Participate in the development of new products, working closely with R&D, engineering, suppliers and other stakeholders to identify and execute on cost-reduction and value increasing opportunities
  • Lead supplier performance management through structured reviews and KPI governance.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive improvements in quality, delivery performance, inventory optimization, and total cost of ownership.
  • Support demand planning and supply continuity initiatives.
  • Ensure effective use of procurement systems, data analytics, and sourcing processes.

  • Proven strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation expertise.
  • Proven track record of cost reductions and continuous improvements
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience leading organizational change in a complex international environment.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive procurement and sourcing experience within a technical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading procurement teams in a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory optimization, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with SAP, LN or similar ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Mobility

  • This position requires 50% travelling.
