The posting

Who we are

We are here to improve lives by restoring sight worldwide by a robotic platform for vision saving surgery. Our company will improve the way ophthalmic surgery is delivered to vision impaired individuals now and for decades to come.

We are rapidly growing, funded by leading international VCs, and are looking to expand our small, motivated, multi-disciplinary and phenomenal team. Joining us is an opportunity to work towards saving vision across the globe, collaborating with others to realize a dream, and tackle an enormous challenge that will help drive your career forward.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Application Engineer to serve as the clinical face of ForSight's robotic surgical system in the field. The Senior Clinical Application Engineer trains, demonstrates, and supervises surgeons and operating-room staff performing robotic-assisted ophthalmic procedures, supports clinical sessions on site, and brings structured clinical insights back to the Product and R&D teams. The role involves frequent international travel to clinical and training sites.

Responsibilities

  • Train and certify surgeons, nurses, and OR staff on the use of the robotic system, from didactic and wet-lab/simulator training through supervised live procedures.
  • Provide on-site clinical and technical support during surgical procedures, including system setup, draping, intra-operative guidance, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate the system to surgeons, clinical teams, and KOLs at clinical sites, training centers, and conferences.
  • Plan and execute site onboarding: readiness assessments, OR integration, team training plans, and sign-off criteria for independent use.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, curricula, and proficiency assessments in collaboration with Product/HFE, R&D, and Regulatory teams.
  • Collect, synthesize, and report structured clinical feedback and usability observations from the field to product teams.
  • Support clinical studies: case observation, protocol adherence support, and coordination with clinical/regulatory staff.
  • Document and report field events, complaints, and device observations per the company's quality system and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with surgeons, clinical staff, and site stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BSc/BA or equivalent in engineering, life sciences, health professions, social sciences, or a related field. Candidates from varied backgrounds (engineering, nursing, optometry, clinical research, medical-device applications) are welcome.
  • 6+ years in a clinical, surgical, or medical-device field role: clinical applications, clinical specialist, product management, OR nursing, surgical support, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience in an operating-room or clinical environment.
  • Experience with surgical robotics, ophthalmic devices, or capital medical equipment — advantage.
  • Experience training or educating healthcare professionals — advantage.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) — must. Additional languages — advantage.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally at high frequency.

Working Conditions

  • International travel approximately 20–40% of the time.
  • Work in operating-room environments; adherence to hospital, sterility, and site-specific requirements.
  • Flexible working hours aligned with surgical schedules and multiple time zones.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
