The partnership draws on the expertise and cultural understanding of over 40,000 professionals across the globe to assist clients of all sizes at every stage in their development.We are looking for an experienced Junior Finance Officer to support the Finance function across accounting operations, payments, reporting, compliance, payroll support, and financial controls. This role combines operational and reporting responsibilities and offers broad exposure to finance processes within a professional services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Operations & Payments• Process and monitor payments, bank transactions, expense claims, and corporate card expenses.• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain payment documentation.• Support treasury and cash management activities.Accounting & Month-End Close• Prepare reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.• Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.Reporting & Budget Support• Support management reporting and financial analysis.• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.• Maintain reporting files and finance dashboards.Payroll & HR Finance Support• Support payroll reconciliations and payroll-related accounting entries.• Coordinate with HR on finance-related employee matters.Tax, Compliance & Audit• Support VAT filings, tax-related activities, and regulatory reporting.• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.• Ensure compliance with internal controls and finance policies.Systems & Process Improvement• Maintain finance data within ERP systems (Workday experience is an advantage).• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and data quality enhancement.ProfileQualifications• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, BTS, DCG or a related field.• 2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial operations.Skills & Competencies• Strong accounting and analytical skills.• Advanced Excel proficiency.• Experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred).• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.What Success Looks Like• Timely and accurate execution of finance operations.• High-quality reconciliations and reporting deliverables.• Strong compliance and control adherence.• Effective collaboration with Finance, HR, Operations, and external stakeholders.• Continuous improvement of finance processes and efficiencies.This role is ideal for a motivated finance professional seeking broad exposure across accounting, reporting, compliance, payroll support, and finance operations while developing towards a senior finance position.Forvis Mazars is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture in which each individual feels welcomed.We consider candidates based on their skills, abilities or experiences as we believe everyone brings their own talents with them.The diversity of our talents is what makes our work environment multicultural, innovative and enriching.
