Join Our Team as a Production Supervisor at Franklin Water Treatment, a Division of Franklin Electric
This is a working supervisor role. You will lead a small team of two while working on the production floor right alongside them. You'll guide daily plant floor operations and drive strong performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency.
This role is about more than keeping production moving. You'll help shape how our facility operates by building the processes, standards, and systems that set the team up for success, from work instructions and production tracking to safety routines and continuous improvement. Your ideas will have a real impact on how we work every day.
If you like rolling up your sleeves, leading by example, and building something that lasts, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This role plays a key part in building an energized, safety-first workplace while keeping daily production running smoothly. As a working supervisor, you'll lead a team of two while working hands-on alongside them in delivery, assembly, material handling, and other floor tasks. You'll plan and prioritize the daily work so Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency goals are met and orders ship on time and correctly.
The role is people-focused: you'll train, coach, and support employees, welcome and onboard new hires, and help the team grow and succeed. You'll also help shape how the facility runs by building and improving systems from the ground up, such as work instructions, standard work, production tracking, inventory processes, and safety routines. Day to day, you'll tackle operational challenges, keep accurate production, quality, and attendance records, and make sure safety rules and company policies are followed. Above all, you'll set the tone through clear communication, strong leadership, and leading by example.
WHO WE WANT
We want a hands-on leader who is just as comfortable working on the line as leading the team. You take initiative, stay organized, and get satisfaction from turning "how we've always done it" into a better, repeatable system. You communicate clearly, stay calm in a fast-paced setting, and set the tone through your own work ethic. If you want a role where your ideas will shape how the operation runs, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required). Associate's degree in business, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse work (required).
- 2–3 years of supervisor or lead experience (preferred).
- Experience setting up or improving processes (preferred).
- Ability to do physical, hands-on work, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50+ lbs.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, email, and an ERP or inventory system is a plus).
- Forklift experience (a plus).
Don't feel like you check all the boxes? At Franklin Water Treatment, we welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds and industries. We highly encourage you to apply so we can connect on this and future opportunities.
