What You’ll Do

FTI Investment Administration & Reporting (IA&R) provides outsourced accounting, Treasury, and financial reporting services to public and private real estate companies, including investment managers, equity and mortgage REITs, mortgage finance companies, developers, and institutional investors.

The Senior Consultant, Treasury will be a hands-on subject matter expert and team lead within the IA&R Treasury function, responsible for the accurate, timely, and well-controlled execution of both Treasury and Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including client payments, invoice processing, cash management, and bank administration. The role works directly with clients, vendors, and Fund Administration and Property Accounting personnel, manages and develops a team in the US and/or offshore, and drives technology-enabled process improvements that create efficiencies and standardize operations. Success requires strong organizational management, the ability to multi-task across multiple clients and payment cutoffs, and consistent delivery against tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is an assertive self-starter, collaborative, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem solver.

Payments Processing

  • Prepare, review, and release domestic and international wires (including SWIFT instructions and confirmations), ACH, and check payments with appropriate verification and approvals
  • Execute and enforce vendor banking change verification protocols, including callback confirmation procedures, to safeguard against fraud and payment diversion
  • Maintain wire templates and approval workflows, and act as a reviewer or escalation point for wire exceptions, recalls, and suspected fraud
  • Process interest payments under credit facilities, partner capital calls and distributions, and investment funding as required
  • Track and resolve returned, rejected, stale-dated, and voided payments in a timely manner

Accounts Payable

  • Oversee invoice intake, coding, approval routing, and posting in Yardi, MRI, or other ERP to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reimbursements
  • Serve as the internal and external AP liaison; respond to vendor and client inquiries and research and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Monitor aged payables and duplicate payment controls, produce AP reporting, and partner with Property Accounting and Fund Administration to ensure payables and cash activity are accurately reflected in the books and records
  • Support and review the annual 1099 cycle, including W-9/TIN collection and validation, tracking of reportable payments, preparation and review of 1099 filings, IRS and state filing, and vendor corrections and IRS notices

Cash Management

  • Support daily cash positioning, cash forecasting, and the funding of operating and disbursement accounts to ensure adequate liquidity and timely payment processing
  • Facilitate inter-account transfers to ensure efficient cash management and liquidity across accounts.
  • Review bank reconciliation activities and resolve reconciling items to maintain accurate cash reporting and account integrity.

Bank Account Management & User Administration

  • Manage the bank account lifecycle, including account opening and closing, signatory and mandate changes, bank KYC requests, account analysis and fee review, and maintenance of the bank account inventory, standing wire instructions, and supporting documentation
  • Administer user access, entitlements, approval workflows, and dual-control settings across bank portals, treasury management systems, payment platforms, and accounting systems, including periodic access reviews

Process Improvement & Technology

  • Optimize payment operations by implementing technology-enabled enhancements to wire, ACH, and check processing, improving efficiency, accuracy, and fraud prevention controls
  • Standardize operations across clients and teams through documented procedures, checklists, templates, and consistent control frameworks, and participate in the SOC-1 process related to Treasury and AP, as required
  • Manage and support client onboarding, transitions, and service implementations, monitoring performance and process effectiveness to enhance the client experience and operational efficiency

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and develop Treasury and AP professionals in the US and/or offshore, including onboarding, training, performance feedback, and career development
  • Coordinate and oversee daily workflows across multiple clients and workstreams, ensuring payment cutoffs, month-end close deliverables, and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
  • Provide oversight and issue resolution support as an escalation resource, ensuring adherence to service and quality standards
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, banking partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders, supporting treasury operations, strategic initiatives, and business growth objectives

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
