Job Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in preserving the beauty, comfort, and dignity of our boutique active adult living community. This position upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service by leading the housekeeping team with professionalism, discretion, and a hospitality-first mindset. Through thoughtful leadership and meticulous attention to detail, the Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that resident apartments and all community spaces consistently reflect the refined, welcoming atmosphere expected of a luxury living environment.

The ideal candidate is a poised and service-oriented leader who inspires excellence, respects the privacy and individuality of residents, and maintains full compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory standards, including California Title 22.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: $25.00 - $28.00/ hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and direction to housekeeping staff in accordance with Title 22 supervision requirements, ensuring clarity of expectations, accountability, and consistent service excellence.
  • Establish and maintain housekeeping schedules, assignments, and workflows to support routine cleaning, personalized resident services, and deep-clean projects.
  • Lead by example, modeling professionalism, hospitality, discretion, and respect in all resident and team interactions.
  • Support housekeeping coverage across all shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and night shifts as assigned.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of resident apartments and community common areas to ensure impeccable cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
  • Ensure all living spaces reflect an atmosphere of comfort, elegance, and attention to detail consistent with a boutique luxury community.
  • Partner with Operations, Front Desk, and Maintenance teams to support room readiness, special requests, and coordinated service delivery.
  • Assist with preparation and cleanup for special events, ensuring event spaces are maintained to the highest aesthetic and service standards.
  • Train, mentor, and coach housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, hospitality standards, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
  • Ensure all housekeeping practices comply with company policies, health department regulations, and California Title 22 requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Director to support sanitation, environmental safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote adherence to safety programs, including Illness and Injury Prevention (IIPP), emergency preparedness, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Observe residents and report concerns or unusual conditions to appropriate leadership in accordance with company policy, without providing direct resident care.
  • Monitor, manage, and forecast inventory levels for linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Ensure cleaning products and materials are stored, handled, and used safely and appropriately.
  • Maintain organized housekeeping storage areas that are inspection-ready at all times.
  • Respond to resident requests and concerns with professionalism, warmth, and urgency, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate.
  • Support a culture of gracious service, ensuring residents’ homes are cared for with respect, discretion, and sensitivity.
  • Contribute to a positive community atmosphere through courteous interaction with residents, families, guests, and coworkers.
  • Perform other related duties assigned to support departmental and community operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of housekeeping experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory role; luxury hospitality, resort, or senior living experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication, organization, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality-grade cleaning methods, products, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required to support a 24/7 community.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background clearances, fingerprinting, and health screenings (including TB testing) in accordance with state regulations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
