Serve up a smile at Garden Spot Village! You’ll help create a welcoming spot for residents, team members, and guests to grab a bite or enjoy a refreshing drink. From running the register to keeping favorite foods and beverages stocked, you’ll help make every visit a positive experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet residents, team members, and guests with a friendly smile and attentive service.
  • Take orders, operate the register, and process payments accurately.
  • Keep prepared foods, snacks, and drinks stocked, organized, and ready to enjoy.
  • Monitor freshness, check expiration dates, rotate products, and store food properly.
  • Prepare beverages and simple food items, including condiments, desserts, garnishes, and salads, as needed.
  • Answer questions about offerings and refer dietary or allergy questions to the appropriate Dining Services team member.
  • Keep tables, counters, workstations, and service areas clean and sanitized.
  • Restock cups, napkins, utensils, condiments, and other essentials.
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures, including proper handling of leftovers.
  • Help with setup and service for special events as needed.
  • Work closely with the Dining Services team to keep service timely and organized.
  • Participate in required training and quality assurance activities.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and professionally, pitching in with other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Comfort operating a register, handling payments.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to keep things moving during busy times.
  • The ability to read menus and understand basic measurements and food categories for special diets.
  • A commitment to treating residents, coworkers, and guests with kindness and respect.
  • A team player who is willing to learn and participate in ongoing training.
  • A commitment to supporting the Mission and Philosophy of Garden Spot Communities.
  • Availability to work scheduled weekends and holidays.

Additional Information

This position is full-time 10:30am-7:30pm with rotating weekends!
