Job Description Summary

As a Process Engineer - Engine Assembly, you will play a key role in owning and improving production assembly processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery across the LM2500, LM6000, CF6, and LMS100 programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the product and the people building it — working directly on the shop floor to solve problems in real time, improve processes, and help teams succeed.

You will be a hands-on operational leader, partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate non-conformances, drive root cause and corrective action, and implement improvements using FLIGHT DECK, our Lean operating framework. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a visible impact on production performance and customer outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work second shift, Monday-Friday
  • Own and improve engine assembly processes to support Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity goals.
  • Respond quickly to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by assessing current conditions against engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and determining corrective actions needed to restore production flow.
  • Lead and support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts in partnership with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, Fulfillment, and other operational teams.
  • Participate in Daily Management and shop floor operating cadences, using KPIs to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Build and apply technical knowledge, primarily in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, to solve production challenges and strengthen process capability.
  • Collaborate across functions to support adjacent improvement initiatives and share best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted, action-oriented presence on the shop floor, helping teams remove barriers and keep engine builds moving.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 1 years of professional experience

Desired Characteristics and Experiences

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Technical aptitude to interpret engineering and quality requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies
  • Collaborative, humble, and transparent working style with strong communication skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a complex, high-tempo manufacturing environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
