The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Quality Excellence Manager based in India.

We are seeking an experienced quality professional to lead regional Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Continuous Improvement (CI), and Quality Excellence initiatives within the hydro power industry. In this role, you will strengthen quality governance, improve operational performance, and drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring defects and failures. You will oversee the implementation of standardized problem-solving methodologies, support quality management system audits, and contribute to the execution of a Zero-Defect Framework. Working closely with global and regional teams, you will use quality metrics, customer feedback, and data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities. You will also coach teams, promote organizational learning, and help build a proactive culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This remote opportunity is suited to a strategic, analytical leader who can influence stakeholders and deliver measurable improvements in quality and customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities

  • Regional RCA and Continuous Improvement: Lead the deployment and consistent application of Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement methodologies across regional projects, functions, and operational sites, ensuring alignment with global quality standards.
  • Complex problem-solving: Facilitate and support investigations into major non-conformities, recurring failures, customer concerns, and critical quality incidents using structured methodologies.
  • Corrective and preventive actions: Drive effective and sustainable Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to minimize recurring issues, strengthen process reliability, and improve operational performance.
  • Performance monitoring: Track RCA effectiveness, action closure, and business impact through defined KPIs, governance mechanisms, and regular performance reviews.
  • Zero-Defect Framework: Support regional deployment and governance of the Zero-Defect Framework, promoting defect prevention, risk mitigation, process discipline, and right-first-time execution.
  • Quality maturity: Monitor the progress and effectiveness of preventive quality initiatives and identify opportunities to improve regional quality performance and operational excellence.
  • Quality Management System governance: Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with internal standards and applicable external requirements.
  • Audit coordination: Coordinate and support internal QMS audits and certification audits, including ISO 9001, across regional sites and functions.
  • Audit findings and compliance: Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions while driving systemic improvements in quality processes, documentation, and governance.
  • Lessons Learned and customer experience: Govern Lessons Learned processes, support Customer Experience initiatives, and use Voice of Customer feedback to identify recurring issues and prioritize improvement actions.
  • Quality analytics and reporting: Analyze quality trends, non-conformity patterns, customer feedback, audit findings, and performance indicators to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Contribute to regional quality reviews and reporting through dashboards, metrics, and analytical insights that support effective decision-making.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Quality, Engineering, Project Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and regional leadership teams to strengthen quality practices and ensure consistent implementation.
  • Capability building and coaching: Coach and mentor teams in structured problem-solving techniques, including 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, A3, CAPA, and Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Continuous improvement culture: Encourage accountability, knowledge sharing, proactive risk management, and the adoption of best practices across regional teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12 years of experience in Quality, Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Quality, or Operational Excellence.
  • Strong expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies, including RCA, 8D, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, and A3.
  • Solid knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, non-conformity management, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading or supporting internal and certification audits within an industrial, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify quality trends, recurring failures, systemic issues, and improvement opportunities using performance data.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly in global or matrixed organizations.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical findings and improvement recommendations clearly.
  • A structured, process-oriented mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex quality challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead regional or cross-functional quality improvement programs and drive accountability without relying on direct authority.
  • Understanding of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), Lessons Learned, Zero-Defect methodologies, Customer Experience, and Voice of Customer concepts.
  • Familiarity with quality analytics, dashboards, digital quality systems, and performance reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Additional European language skills, particularly French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
  • Experience using digital tools and analytics to improve quality governance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Remote work flexibility: Work remotely, with a flexible working arrangement designed to support effective collaboration across regional and global teams.
  • Strategic leadership opportunity: Lead regional quality excellence initiatives and influence quality governance, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Global collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and regional and global stakeholders in a complex industrial environment.
  • Professional development: Strengthen expertise in RCA, Lean Six Sigma, quality systems, audit governance, and operational excellence.
  • Capability-building impact: Coach teams and help develop a stronger culture of structured problem-solving, accountability, and organizational learning.
  • Meaningful industry contribution: Support quality and reliability initiatives within the hydro power sector, contributing to operational excellence in an industry connected to the energy transition.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
