Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced specialist to lead uranium materials planning, accounting, and compliance for our nuclear fuel operations. In this role, you will develop integrated material plans, maintain rigorous book-to-physical inventory controls, and ensure full compliance with NRC and international safeguards requirements. Partnering closely with the Uranium Manager and cross-functional teams, you will safeguard material traceability from receipt through shipment while optimizing working capital, operational reliability, and regulatory readiness.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the integrated uranium materials plan to support production schedules, customer demand, and forecasts in alignment with the Uranium Manager.
  • Execute day-to-day material transactions, receipts, and transfers with accuracy in ERP/MRP and nuclear material accounting systems.
  • Manage the uranium material accounting framework, including physical inventory controls, book-to-physical reconciliation, and variance management.
  • Ensure complete traceability of uranium material through conversion, enrichment, fabrication, and shipment with required isotopic attributes.
  • Assist with material balance area (MBA) management, mass balance calculations, and anomaly resolution.
  • Ensure all planning and execution activities comply with NRC regulations, international safeguards agreements, export controls, and GE Vernova safety standards.
  • Prepare and validate data inputs for regulatory and safeguards reports, including material balance and inventory change reports.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to align uranium planning with production and regulatory needs.
  • Provide uranium availability, inventory position, and cost insights to support commercial negotiations and contract execution.
  • Lead or support root cause analyses and corrective action plans for material accounting discrepancies or process deviations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN, Six Sigma) to increase accuracy, automation, and efficiency in material accounting processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, or a related field, with 8–10 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, operations, or the nuclear fuel cycle.
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, materials planning, and enterprise ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proven record of compliance, audit readiness, and working within highly regulated environments such as nuclear, defense, or aerospace.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and to obtain or maintain required clearances or authorizations for handling controlled nuclear information and materials.

Desired Characteristics

  • Direct experience in nuclear fuel fabrication, uranium conversion or enrichment, nuclear material control and accounting (MC&A), or uranium finance.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear regulatory frameworks, export controls, and safeguards requirements (e.g., NRC, IAEA).
  • Strong track record as an individual contributor influencing cross-functional decisions and managing complex material flows under high regulatory scrutiny.
  • Familiarity with LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies, advanced inventory forecasting, and continuous improvement tools.

Work Environment and Additional Information

  • Based at or near a nuclear fuel fabrication facility, with potential periodic presence in controlled or radiological areas subject to training and authorization.
  • Must complete and maintain all required training for nuclear material management, safeguards, and site safety requirements.
  • Travel: Approximately less than 5% to other GE Vernova sites, suppliers, conferences, and regulatory meetings as needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
