Job Description Summary

The Grid Software Project Manager is the pathfinder for the customer, translating customer and business commitments into disciplined execution and measurable outcomes. This role leads customer-facing software solution projects from initiation through acceptance and transition, coordinating customers, delivery teams, partners, and supporting functions. The Project Manager owns delivery across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, governance, customer value, and project financial health.

Job Description

· Scope and change control. Define objectives, requirements, deliverables, work breakdown structure, acceptance criteria, assumptions, and responsibilities. Baseline scope and manage changes through documented impact assessment and approval.

· Integrated schedule management. Build and actively manage milestones, dependencies, critical path, customer obligations, and internal handoffs. Maintain a current schedule, identify variance early, and drive recovery actions.

· Financial and commercial management. Own cost, margin, forecast accuracy, cash flow, billing readiness, and commercial exposure. Understand contractual obligations, identify entitlement, manage change orders, and protect project profitability.

· Customer value realization and account growth. Identify opportunities to expand customer value, solution adoption, and project scope; partner with commercial and account teams to develop appropriate growth opportunities while maintaining delivery and contractual discipline.

· Risk, issue, and decision management. Maintain a current RAID log with clear owners and due dates. Anticipate risks, lead mitigation and structured problem solving, and escalate with facts, options, and recommendations.

· Governance and reporting. Establish operating mechanisms and decision rights. Provide accurate, timely, decision-useful status, forecasts, performance data, and executive updates. Maintain complete project records.

· Cross-functional delivery leadership. Lead matrixed teams across software development, engineering, product, quality, testing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, services, finance, commercial, sales, and partners as applicable. Clarify accountability and drive commitments to closure.

· Quality, acceptance, and transition. Integrate quality planning, coordinate testing and defect resolution, maintain traceability to acceptance criteria, and support-controlled implementation and transition to customer operations and support.

· Lean and Agile delivery. Apply Lean, Agile, hybrid, or predictive practices appropriate to the engagement. Reduce delays, rework, handoff friction, and complexity through visual management, iterative planning, and continuous improvement.

· Knowledge sharing. Capture lessons learned, contribute reusable practices, support team capability, and use digital data, and AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve execution.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
