As Technical Leader within the Gas Plants Center of Excellence, you lead a team of engineers and guide system design for Conversions, Modifications & Upgrades (CM&U) and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Your work connects engineering decisions to safer operation, stronger performance, and practical outcomes for customers.

You are an experienced system engineering leader who combines technical depth with clear coordination across teams, suppliers, and project priorities.

  • Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, set priorities, and support project execution to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
  • Guide system and process design, including process flow diagrams, functional specifications, and performance calculations
  • Define operating concepts, protection strategies, and control concept narratives to align process requirements with controls
  • Oversee bottoming cycle capability studies and review technical outputs for quality, accuracy, and completion
  • Partner with Application and Requisition teams to strengthen project planning, technical reviews, and risk management across CM&U and NPI work
  • Support fleet management and product maintenance by using root cause analysis (RCA) to turn field experience into product improvements
  • Improve engineering consistency by maintaining tools, work instructions, and Lean-based process controls

Required

  • Significant experience in system engineering for CM&U projects within the power industry
  • Bachelor-s or Master-s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience in a closely related field
  • Strong knowledge of gas turbine, steam turbine, or heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and water-steam cycle system engineering
  • Experience with risk assessment methods such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), and functional safety
  • Proven experience leading technical work across global teams, with strong English communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience applying Lean methods to process improvement and deliverable control
  • Experience leading technically complex project scopes, including New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • German language skills

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
