Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare Finland develops advanced medical devices and patient monitoring solutions for critical care, anesthesia, and mobile care environments. As Senior Clinical Lead, you will provide senior clinical leadership across product development and the product lifecycle, ensuring that clinical practice, scientific evidence, clinical testing, and clinical insights are effectively integrated into engineering and business decisions. This role is intended for an experienced clinician who can independently challenge assumptions, apply sound clinical judgment, translate real-world clinical workflows into practical product guidance, and strengthen clinical capabilities across the Helsinki organization. You will work in close partnership with engineering, software, usability, risk management, clinical evaluation, quality, regulatory, and product teams to help develop safe, effective, and clinically meaningful solutions for patients and healthcare professionals.

Job Description

Essential responsibilities

  • Provide independent clinical guidance throughout product development and lifecycle activities.
  • Apply clinical expertise and real-world healthcare experience to device use scenarios and clinical workflows, helping inform product decisions.
  • Review clinical risks, complaints, and corrective actions to identify opportunities for product and process improvement.
  • Support in-house clinical testing of usability and workflows, including methods, metrics, and reporting.
  • Support hospital-based clinical studies, including protocol development, participant recruitment and data transfer.
  • Provide clinical input to clinical evaluations, benefit-risk assessments, regulatory submissions, and product documentation.
  • Apply clinical evidence, guidelines, and emerging practices to support product development and decision-making.
  • Collaborate across teams to strengthen clinical evaluation capabilities in Helsinki.
  • Demonstrate devices and train clinicians and cross-functional teams on device use and clinical practice.
  • Develop shared tools, training materials, and resources to build clinical capabilities and improve practices.

Required qualifications

  • Registered Nurse or other relevant licensed healthcare professional with a bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing, healthcare, or a related clinical field, and a minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
  • Significant recent or prior clinical experience in environments where patient monitoring is intensively used, such as intensive care, anesthesia, operating room, emergency care, or cardiac telemetry.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical-device development, clinical risk management, clinical evaluation, applied clinical research, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of real-world clinical workflows and how device behaviour, use conditions, and user interactions may influence clinical outcomes.
  • Ability to make independent, evidence-informed clinical judgements, explain uncertainty and constructively challenge assumptions regarding clinical scenarios, workflows and real-world clinical practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and clinical or scientific documentation.
  • Ability to lead complex work across multiple projects and collaborate effectively in cross-functional and global teams.

Desired characteristics

  • Nursing experience in the United States healthcare system, with a good understanding of anesthesia or intensive care workflows and patient monitoring
  • Fluence in Finnish, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with GE HealthCare patient monitoring solutions or similar patient monitoring technologies.
  • Experience planning, conducting, or supporting clinical testing in simulated or hospital environments.
  • Experience with alarm management, device usability, or workflow assessment.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, create meaningful visualizations, and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience conducting literature reviews, scientific writing, or supporting regulatory documentation for medical devices.
  • Curiosity about healthcare technology, clinical workflows, and the practical application of clinical evidence in product development.
  • Confidence to ask difficult questions, raise clinical concerns, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Interest in building clinical capabilities through training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
