Het bieden van laagdrempelige, preventieve en vraaggerichte ondersteuning aan (aanstaande) gezinnen met kinderen. De gezinsondersteuner versterkt gezinnen in hun opvoedingsrol, gaat samen met hen op zoek naar oplossingen voor opvoedings-, ontwikkelings- of gezinsvragen en ondersteunt hen bij het vinden van de gepaste hulp en dienstverlening wanneer nodig.

Als gezinsondersteuner bij het Huis van het Kind werk je samen met je collega’s aan projecten rond preventieve gezinsondersteuning: • Je gaat samen met gezinnen op weg om duurzame antwoorden te vinden op hun noden en vragen. • Je biedt individuele ondersteuning aan gezinnen met vragen rond opvoeding, ontwikkeling, welzijn, onderwijs, administratie en gezinsleven. • Je zet in op de sterktes van het gezin, werkt krachtgericht en stimuleert de zelfstandigheid en zelfredzaamheid van gezinnen. • Je ondersteunt gezinnen bij het leggen van contacten met relevante diensten en partners en zorgt voor een warme toeleiding waar nodig. Je helpt gezinnen hun weg te vinden naar passende dienstverlening, hulpverlening en vrijetijdsinitiatieven. • Je voert ondersteunende gesprekken met ouders en kinderen en werkt samen met hen aan haalbare doelstellingen. • Je neemt een actieve rol op in de uitwerking, organisatie en begeleiding van projecten en activiteiten van het Huis van het Kind die gericht zijn op het versterken van kinderen, ouders en gezinnen. • Je zet je mee in voor een verdere uitbouw en bekendmaking van het Huis van het Kind in onze gemeente. • Je werkt nauw samen met partners, zowel intern (Brugfiguur, Sociale dienst, Beleven en ondernemen, ….) als extern (scholen, kinderopvang, hulpverlening, vrije tijd …). • Je detecteert noden en signalen bij gezinnen en koppelt deze terug naar het Huis van het Kind en de relevante partners. • Huisbezoeken behoren tot de mogelijkheden wanneer dit een meerwaarde biedt voor de begeleiding van het gezin.

Je hebt een diploma op bachelor niveau en hebt kennis van:

  • Socio-culturele activiteiten, processen en projecten opstarten en opvolgen.
  • De situatie en behoefte van het gezin analyseren.
  • Het lokale hulpverlenings-, welzijns- en vrijetijdslandschap.
  • De sociale kaart en doorverwijsmogelijkheden.
  • Inzicht in kansarmoede, sociale uitsluiting en kwetsbare gezinssituaties.
