Wij zoeken een jeugdopbouwwerker die graag op straat staat. Jij zoekt jongeren op waar ze zijn, wint hun vertrouwen en helpt hen hun weg te vinden naar school, werk, vrije tijd of hulp.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Je bent zichtbaar en aanspreekbaar op pleinen, in parken, aan scholen en op andere plekken waar jongeren samenkomen.
  • Je bent een vertrouwenspersoon voor jongeren met vragen over school, thuis, werk of hun toekomst en je verwijst hen door naar de juiste hulp.
  • Je zet samen met jongeren activiteiten op die bij hen passen: van sport en cultuur tot ontmoetingsmomenten in de vakanties.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met de jeugddienst, de sociale dienst, het Huis van het Kind, scholen, verenigingen en de politie.
  • Je brengt de stem van jongeren tot bij het bestuur en denkt mee over het jeugdbeleid in Wemmel.
  • Je hebt een bachelordiploma, bij voorkeur in het sociaal werk, het sociaal-cultureel werk of een gelijkaardige richting.
  • Je hebt een hart voor jongeren en maakt makkelijk contact, ook met wie het moeilijker heeft. Ervaring in het jeugdwerk, een jeugdbeweging of een speelpleinwerking is een pluspunt.
  • Je werkt zelfstandig, neemt initiatief en blijft rustig wanneer het even spannend wordt.
  • Je bent tweetalig (Nederlands/Frans) en kan vlot communiceren met jongeren en ouders uit diverse achtergronden.
