About the Role

The Director of Business Operations will be responsible for leading the strategic execution, operational cadence, and infrastructure across Equip’s Care Operations function. This role serves as a critical operational backbone, translating high-level organizational strategy into scalable systems that elevate both Care Delivery and Care Experience. By establishing robust operational accountability and guiding a team of analysts and project managers, the Director ensures cross-functional alignment and peak departmental performance. Ultimately, this role powers Equip’s growth by building sustainable systems that enable our care teams to deliver high-quality treatment at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic planning, goal setting, and operational cadence for the Care Operations department to drive organizational alignment and business outcomes.
  • Lead a team of analysts and project managers, providing direct management, performance oversight, and professional development.
  • Design and execute high-impact initiatives that improve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall patient and provider experience across Care Operations.
  • Direct data analysis and operational reporting to uncover trends, diagnose root causes, and translate insights into scalable action plans.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to build, pilot, and implement standardized processes, project plans, and change management strategies across Care Delivery and Care Experience.
  • Establish comprehensive tracking frameworks, operational metrics, and performance dashboards to ensure departmental accountability and quality control.
  • Develop scalable operational infrastructure, best practice documentation, and continuous improvement mechanisms that support long-term organizational growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business operations, management consulting, program management, or a related field within a healthcare or high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, healthcare administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Demonstrated experience managing direct reports, including analysts or project managers, and driving team performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end strategic project management, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and utilizing SQL to query complex datasets and translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, pilot, and implement scalable operational processes across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using data analysis and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) to build operational models and reporting frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve complex operational challenges, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits Package

Compensation:

  • Earning Potential Range: $140,000 to $175,000 + 20% Annual Performance-Based Bonus Potential

Work From Home Additional Perks:

  • $50/month stipend added directly to an employee’s paycheck to cover home internet expenses.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. Must be able to remain in a stationary period for prolonged periods at a desk or workstation, with the option to alternate between sitting and standing as needed. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as a computer screen and keyboards as well as to exchange accurate information, actively listen, and communicate clearly with colleagues, clients or stakeholders over the phone, via video conferencing, and/or in person.
