The posting

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

  • Anduril’s Air Defense team builds autonomous robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky. This team is the nexus of premier Anduril-built products such as Roadrunner, Sentry, Anvil, Pulsar, and Wisp integrated into a software-enabled Air Defense family of systems tailored to the modern battlespace. At a time when air superiority can no longer be taken for granted, we provide critical force protection capabilities to support the warfighter. Our autonomous family of networked sensors and effectors enables our users to rapidly close the kill chain against a broad range of UAS threats that continue to evolve at a rapid pace.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • The Air Defense team needs a Senior Network Engineer to own the networks that connect sensors, compute, and effectors from detection to engagement. You’ll be responsible for owning the networking components across deployed Anduril Systems, designing the physical infrastructure behind fielded networks, and troubleshooting failures from routing configuration down to physical interconnect of the system. This role requires deep Linux networking expertise and the ability to work hands-on in the field.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Configure and troubleshoot Linux networking across deployed Anduril hardware as well as network appliances, including interfaces, bonding, VLAN tagging, routing tables, and host firewall rules
  • Own networking for the Air Defense family of systems. Work with sensor, effector, autonomy, and Lattice teams to move each detection to the effector that acts on it
  • Diagnose network behavior end to end, from host-level packet captures and system troubleshooting to the switch, link, and cable underneath it
  • Design, deploy, and maintain the networks that support Air Defense development, integration, and test, including lab networks, integration facilities, and their physical infrastructure
  • Design and implement secure, segmented network architectures using ACLs, firewalls, and intrusion detection or prevention
  • Maintain accurate documentation for network topology, cabling, VLAN and IP assignments, and inter-zone communication flows. Support field integration and test events

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 5+ years of network engineering experience and the ability to lead deployments with minimal guidance
  • Advanced Linux networking and administration skills, including interface configuration, DNS, DHCP, routing and routed protocols, multicast, and system-level network troubleshooting
  • Experience configuring and debugging networking on embedded, deployed, or field-tested systems, not only fixed-site infrastructure
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, MANET or mesh radio systems, wireless systems, and firewall policy management. Able to perform field installations, cabling validation, and physical-layer troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or declarative configuration management for deploying and maintaining consistent networking configurations across fleets of systems
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto platforms, including Panorama and NGFW
  • Experience with data center or private cloud networking
  • Experience supporting DoD programs or networking in operational or field environments

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
