COMPANY OVERVIEW

We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.

About the Role

Ecommerce is an increasingly important growth engine for General Mills’ Pet business. To support that growth, we’re building the data, reporting, and diagnostic capabilities that help teams understand digital performance and act on it.

As the Ecommerce Analytics Manager, you’ll lead this work from roadmap through delivery. You’ll partner with the Pet Digital Acceleration team and work across Sales, Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Data & Technology, enterprise analytics, media agencies, retailers, and key vendors. Your role will be to connect business questions with the right data and turn complex digital signals into clear recommendations.

This role is remote eligible, with Minneapolis, MN or St. Louis, MO strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Pet Digital Acceleration leaders to define the vision, prioritize the roadmap, and deliver the tools the business needs most.
  • Identify and evaluate data sources, clarify business questions, define KPIs and requirements, and work with Data & Technology teams to deliver reliable reporting and decision tools.
  • Build a practical view of performance across digital shelf, retailer search, site traffic, consumer journeys, content, promotions, subscription, profitability, and retail media.
  • Develop scorecards and diagnostic tools that explain changes in sales, share, traffic, conversion, content visibility, search performance, assortment, and retailer execution—and help teams determine what to do next.
  • Assess how product content performs on retailer sites, how products appear in retailer search, and how brand or product information surfaces in emerging off-site search and generative experiences.
  • Manage the retailer media data ecosystem with Shopper Marketing, including data validation, measurement readiness, retailer clean-room capabilities, and coordination across internal teams, agencies, and retailers.
  • Create measurement plans and recommend improvements to audience strategy, retail media investment, and budget allocation across brands and retailers.
  • Connect media activation with on-page and digital shelf performance to show how content, search, media, and retailer execution work together.
  • Translate results into clear business narratives for Sales, Marketing, Pet leaders, and joint business planning conversations, including investment recommendations and future learning priorities.
  • Build strong working relationships with Sales directors, Marketing partners, Shopper Insights, Customer Analytics, enterprise analytics teams, agencies, retailers, and vendors.
  • Lead cross-functional projects with a bias for action, balancing quick wins with the longer-term roadmap.
  • Standardize reporting, streamline processes, maximize vendor partnerships, and test new tools and methods as the capability matures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce analytics, digital shelf analytics, retail media measurement, or a closely related discipline within consumer packaged goods or another omnichannel retail category.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one ecommerce, digital shelf, or retail media platform such as CommerceIQ, Pacvue, Profitero, Stackline, Flywheel, Alli Platform, or a comparable solution.
  • Experience using retailer, digital shelf, or media metrics to diagnose performance and recommend action.
  • Familiarity with the retailer ecosystems, analytics platforms, and metrics of one or more of the following: Amazon, Walmart, Chewy, PetSmart, Petco, or Target.
  • Experience building dashboards, scorecards, reporting, or other data products in partnership with Data & Technology or technical teams.
  • Experience with methods such as conversion analysis, profitability optimization, online consumer journeys, cohort analysis, churn modeling, customer lifetime value, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Ability to connect multiple data sources, synthesize complex information, and communicate clear business recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management skills, including the ability to scope work, prioritize needs, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action, intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the pet industry, including familiarity with its competitive landscape, retailers, and data sources.
  • Experience in a consumer packaged goods company or with a pet, grocery, mass, specialty, or digital-first retailer.
  • Experience with business performance analytics using syndicated data such as Nielsen, Circana, or Numerator.
  • Experience with retail media data, clean-room measurement, audience analytics, attribution modeling, sales lift, or test-and-learn and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with marketing mix modeling and other approaches used to guide investment decisions.
  • Experience partnering with media agencies and connecting media activation data with ecommerce, digital shelf, sales, and shopper insights.

Additional Considerations

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
  • Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
