POSITION OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Supervisor provides frontline safety and engagement-based technical leadership to achieve plant and platform results. This role provides direct leadership for maintenance mechanics while building maintenance capability at all levels of the platform team.
The Maintenance Supervisor works to eliminate losses through a rigorous, data-driven daily management process focused on root-cause elimination. This role improves equipment and system reliability by leading maintenance foundational systems, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement tools. The Maintenance Supervisor also serves as an equipment and component-level resource for assigned line and system teams, helping operators and mechanics identify, prioritize, and resolve defects.
This role is a first shift opportunity working from 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. There may be business needs that could require this individual to start their shift earlier or stay later depending on the factors that drive that need.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Safety
- Lead Human and Food Safety.

- Cultivate a Food Safety culture committed to manufacturing safe food that complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and address safety risks related to standard and non-standard maintenance activities, including risks identified through Defect Handling.
People Leadership
- Manage and direct the work of maintenance mechanics, including staffing, performance management, onboarding, and team development.
- Manage shift and daily staffing needs, coordinate effective shift handoffs, and support accurate timekeeping and workforce administration processes.
- Role model Engaging Leader behaviors.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize team effectiveness through clear communication and collaboration.
- Provide clear individual priorities and team goals that deliver platform priorities.
- Cultivate a floor-centric, positive, and supportive team environment that fosters employee engagement and retention.
- Build the capability of operators, mechanics, and line teams to understand equipment at the component level and identify and resolve defects.
Process Leadership and Ownership
Driving System Utilization (DSU)
- Directly support the development and execution of the 90-Day improvement plan to deliver the platform glidepath through loss elimination.
Daily Direction Setting (DDS)
- Lead portions of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly DDS meetings.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics, including defects found and fixed, breakdowns, maintenance health indicators, backlog, and preventive maintenance completion.
- Coach and support shift DDS as appropriate.
- Support execution of the plan for the day and shift-specific improvement actions.
Maintenance Foundational Systems
- Own the overall effectiveness of maintenance foundational systems for the assigned platform, line, or system.
- Own the Defect Handling process standard across the platform. Maintain and improve standards documentation and coach line teams, operators, and maintenance employees through the identification, prioritization, and resolution of defects.
- Own the Breakdown Elimination process for the assigned platform, including identification of breakdown triggers, tracking through the breakdown elimination dice chart, completion of actions, and implementation of countermeasures.
- Maintain Maximo data integrity and adherence to Maximo standards for assigned systems.
- Partner with the Maintenance Asset Care Leader on Maintenance Planning and Scheduling to ensure corrective and preventive work is prioritized, planned, scheduled, and assigned correctly to deliver platform results.
- Prioritize work to address top stops and losses, including shutdown planning and execution.
- Deliver the maintenance and reliability spend plan for the line or platform, including materials, services, and overtime, while managing the maintenance budget.
- Ensure the overall effectiveness and execution of maintenance shutdowns.
Know Your Operation, Data, and Technology
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the production system and product transformation process connected to equipment on the line.
- Understand daily management and process-owner interactions across the team, including Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Defect Handling, Breakdown Elimination, Centerline, and Clean, Inspect, Lubricate processes.
- Apply problem-solving tools and processes to eliminate losses and address root causes.
- Use maintenance and manufacturing data to make decisions and drive results.
- Maintain and use a training and skills matrix to identify skill gaps, develop training plans, and track employee progress.
- Support accurate technical documentation, standards, work plans, and maintenance instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of manufacturing, frontline leadership, or technical leadership experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a highly collaborative environment.
- Success driving results through process discipline and teamwork.
- Proven success reducing losses and improving performance in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated technical capability and knowledge of unit operations and machinery on at least one production platform.
- Strong communication skills across work groups, cross-functional resources, and other plant team members.
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis and maintenance systems, such as SAP, Maximo, Manufacturing Analytics, or MQIS, and the ability to use data to make decisions and drive results.
- Experience in maintenance, reliability, and manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of a broad range of technical areas, including: Materials such as metals, plastics, elastomers, composites, and coatings. Fabrication methods such as welding, machining, and surface treatment. Engineering skills such as reading prints, measuring, and specifying. Fastening and joining methods and materials. Mechanical and electrical systems. Lubrication principles.
- Craft worker experience or strong knowledge of craft duties and capabilities.
- Practical knowledge of Maximo and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, science, engineering, or mechatronics discipline.
- 4 years of manufacturing, frontline leadership, or technical leadership experience.
- Professional Certifications in CMRP, MLTI, Eruditio, Planning and Scheduling Certification

SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is:
$71,300 - $107,000 Annual
