POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Millwright Mechanic
  • Starting Pay: $34.43
  • $37.31/hour after 6 months
  • Additional $.35 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift
  • Additional $.41 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift
  • Overtime PayTime worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked over 40 hours in a work week is 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay Holiday pay (if eligible for holiday pay and holiday is worked, 2x double pay + holiday pay)

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

  • 8-hour shifts, 7 days a week -
  • Currently hiring for 2nd and/or 3rd shift
  • 1st shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm 3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

  • Working safely while resolving equipment issues
  • Troubleshooting and repairing all kinds of processing and packaging equipment
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical defects and developing issues that will lead to equipment breakdown
  • Providing technical support for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications
  • Participating in Root Cause Analysis to help prevent recurrence of equipment failures
  • Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase equipment performance
  • Perform quality and safety checks
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in training new employees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required
  • Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
  • Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
  • Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
  • All employees must go through a forklift certification course and are required to drive a forklift
