COMPANY OVERVIEW

We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.

OVERVIEW:

You’ll lead the design and delivery of product information solutions that help General Mills teams keep product content accurate and ready for business use and retail channels. You’ll partner with global business and technology teams to solve complex problems, improve digital commerce, and responsibly apply emerging AI capabilities. This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you can shape technical direction and help grow team capability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead the design, configuration, and improvement of STIBO STEP product information capabilities, including data models, workflows, business rules, and user interfaces.

• Build and support reliable integrations that move product information between STIBO STEP, enterprise systems, and retailer channels.

• Define and deliver the strategy for applying large language models (LLMs) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to STIBO STEP and product-data workflows; personally contribute to solution design and implementation.

• Prioritize valuable AI use cases, establish secure data access and governance, evaluate solution quality, and guide pilots into scalable production use.

• Improve product-data accuracy, completeness, and usability through validation, governance, automation, and digital-content capabilities.

• Own production support for critical issues, coordinate resolution, improve reliability, and implement durable fixes that prevent recurrence.

• Promote sound engineering practices through code reviews, testing, documentation, and appropriate delivery automation.

• Lead through influence by aligning cross-functional partners, mentoring engineers, and sharing technical knowledge across teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Experience: At least 9 years of professional software-engineering experience, including designing and delivering enterprise applications.

• STIBO STEP: Hands-on experience configuring and developing STIBO STEP, including core product-information capabilities such as data models, workflows, and business rules.

• LLM and MCP: Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying LLM-powered solutions and MCP servers, with the ability to shape strategy and architecture and lead adoption from concept through production.

• Integration and development: Experience with enterprise APIs and structured data such as JSON and XML; practical experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL, strong JavaScript skills and working knowledge of XSLT.

• Product data: Experience delivering product data through syndication or integration platforms.

• Leadership: Ability to own complex work, troubleshoot production issues, communicate clearly with business and technology partners, and mentor or influence teammates.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• STIBO STEP certification.

• Experience with retailer syndication platforms such as PDX, 1WS, or Syndigo.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure, DevOps practices.

• Experience with LLM evaluation, agent orchestration, model monitoring, or production cost and performance optimization.

• Experience in consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, or other product-data-intensive environments.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
