Graduate Junior Discretionary Trader - Dublin

We are looking for entrepreneurial and highly motivated individuals interested in gaining hands-on trading experience through our mentorship program. As a Junior Discretionary Trader in our program, you will have customized training and daily guidance from our most profitable discretionary traders to learn the intricacies of the futures markets and how to capitalize on them. At the end of the mentorship program, you will be able to successfully capture edge while leveraging our low latency proprietary platform and trading tools.

We are targeting a select few who thrive on precision, discipline, and strategic thinking. Geneva Trading is seeking individuals with an exceptional eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to excellence to join our team as Junior Discretionary Trader. If you possess the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt to rapidly changing environments, and maintain a laser-sharp focus, we want you. No prior trading experience is necessary—just your relentless drive to learn, your passion for mastering complex systems, and your dedication to achieving success.

The Role:

  • Trade your own account within a global team of talented individual traders.
  • Leverage our state-of-the-art technology to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Identify, research, and exploit new trading opportunities.
  • Adopt a systematic and data-driven approach to trading.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in collaborative conversations around market fundamentals and events.
  • Work closely with the technology team to fully utilize and enhance our electronic trading systems.

  • Prior experience in a high-pressured, competitive environment (trading, gaming, poker, athletics, etc.)
  • Continuous Learning: The financial markets are constantly evolving, successful traders are committed to ongoing education and staying updated with market news and trends
  • Attention to detail: Traders need to meticulously analyze market data, charts, and trends. This role requires a high level of focus and precision to identify patterns and make informed decisions.
  • Routine and Discipline: Establishing and sticking to a strict routine is crucial, this includes regular market analysis, setting trading goals, and adhering to risk management strategies.
  • Perseverance: The ability to persist through losses and setbacks is essential. Traders must continually refine their strategies and learn from their mistakes.
  • Emotional Control: Managing emotions such as fear, and greed is vital. Traders need to remain calm and composed, even in volatile market conditions
  • Self-motivated: Possess a competitive personality and a strong drive to succeed.

This role is based in our Dublin office, where the in-office experience for trader development, education, and mentorship programs is paramount.
