The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst – Process Analytics – Claims & Underwriting 5B based in India.

Join a specialized analytics team supporting insurance claims and underwriting operations through accurate data processing, exposure analysis, and risk insights. In this role, you will work with property and casualty insurance data, helping transform client submissions into structured information for catastrophe modeling and exposure management. You will review underwriting documentation, validate exposure records, and use geospatial analysis to support informed risk assessment. Working with tools such as AIR and RMS, you will contribute to reliable modeling outputs and actionable insights for global insurance clients. This full-time remote opportunity offers a flexible work schedule and an innovation-focused environment where analytical expertise, execution, and collaboration are highly valued.

Accountabilities

  • Review submissions from underwriters to ensure all required information is complete and accurate, following up when additional documentation or details are needed, including Statements of Values (SOVs) and slips.
  • Cleanse and transform client-provided data, typically in Excel format, into the formats required by AIR, RMS, or proprietary client platforms.
  • Code COPE (Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure) information accurately to support property risk analysis.
  • Import exposure data into AIR and RMS systems and perform validation checks to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Geocode property locations and analyze geographic exposure information to support catastrophe risk assessment.
  • Interpret insurance layer structures and review slips and binders to identify relevant terms, conditions, and coverage details.
  • Generate meaningful insights from client data to support improved exposure management and risk mitigation decisions.
  • Maintain accuracy and high execution standards while delivering assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and relevant stakeholders to resolve data issues, manage workload demands, and support overall process efficiency.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in exposure management, property modeling, catastrophe modeling, or a related insurance analytics function is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance principles and property exposure management.
  • Working knowledge of catastrophe modeling platforms such as RMS and AIR Touchstone.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage, cleanse, transform, and analyze large datasets.
  • Knowledge of SQL and SQL scripting is an advantage; familiarity with VBA macros is also valuable.
  • Understanding of insurance layer structures and the ability to read and interpret slips, binders, terms, and conditions.
  • Knowledge of catastrophe modeling and catastrophe risk management concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks, maintain a high speed of execution, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an intermediate level of English proficiency (B1).
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Associate in Claims (AIC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), are beneficial.
  • Full-time, regular employment.
  • Remote working arrangement in India.
  • Flexible working hours under an India-based flex-time shift.
  • Professional development through hands-on experience with insurance analytics, exposure management, and catastrophe modeling.
  • Access to mentorship, learning opportunities, and career development resources.
  • Opportunity to contribute to technology-enabled transformation projects supporting global enterprise clients.
  • Collaborative and inclusive working environment focused on innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
