Summary The function of this position is to provide and supervise substance abuse prevention and mental health promotion services to community members in a variety of community settings. Supervise personnel as assigned in order to provide efficient and effective services that meet or exceed contractual obligations. Collaboration and communication with Montgomery County ADAMHS, OMHAS, community partners, and GESMV staff is essential in this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain efficient and timely documentation of services and program activities and submit program reports and records within GESMV Behavioral Health guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge of all contracts, obligations, and services. Operates programming in a manner that meets or exceeds the contractor's expectations.
Collaborate with schools, civic organizations, church groups, and community organizations to provide information and awareness on a range of prevention topics.
Network with other prevention providers and social service agencies within the region
Participate in substance use prevention and mental health promotion campaigns such as We Are the Majority, United Against Violence, Be Present, etc.
Participate in Montgomery County Prevention Coalition meetings and committee meetings.
Participate in health fairs, business expos, parades, and other community events for the purpose of promoting healthy lifestyles and wellness
Provide training to community members on prevention topics appropriate to expertise, interest, and knowledge.
Attend training, seminars, workshops, and classes to achieve required credentials and continue education as required by the agency and licensing boards.
Perform other duties assigned by the Program Director and/or Executive Director to meet program and agency objectives. Performs community outreach, information and referral, and education assignments, as well as consultation services as approved by supervisor
Attend community meetings, GESMV staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, supervision sessions, etc., as scheduled
Assist Program Director with all administrative requirements, including documentation of services and billing.
Meet or exceed individual and departmental program goals as established with supervisor.
Supervise staff as assigned.
Assure staff adhere to all requirements related to specific funding sources. Maintain necessary records and submit monthly reports as required. Ensures that paperwork is in compliance with GESMV guidelines and regulations.
Develop professional relationships with key organizational and community stakeholders through individual presentations, meetings, and other avenues to maintain ongoing contact.
Assist Director and/or Manager in identifying organizational and community meetings, task forces, or other ongoing meetings requiring GESMV representation. Attend meetings as assigned.
Provide advice, counsel, and instruction on work and administrative matters to staff.
Inform staff regarding new and changing policies, regulations, and directions pertinent to their job duties.
Evaluate staff performance and discuss performance and work improvement with Supervisor.
Present the program informally to interested parties, relaying that interest.
Comply with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain them to meet CARF, HIPAA, the Department of Labor and other regulatory standards. Assist with additional programming from the Prevention team as assigned by the Prevention Manager and/or BH Director.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide coaching and counseling to assigned staff as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Complete performance evaluations annually. Assist Director/Manager and work directly with Human Resources team regarding hiring, terminations, advancements, and other changes of direct report staff.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience of three plus (3+) years. Licensure required: OCPC, OCPS, or CHES.
Experience Requirements
Previous experience in prevention services and supervision.

Employees must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Employees must have reliable transportation as a means of transporting assigned referrals to job interviews in the community, attending meetings, etc. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
