The posting

At Gigamon, our purpose is to protect the hybrid networks and data of the largest, most complex organizations on the planet. Certified as a Great Place to Work, we offer a deep observability pipeline that efficiently delivers network-derived intelligence to cloud, security, and observability tools. This helps our customers to eliminate security blind spots, optimize network traffic, and dramatically reduce tool cost and complexity, enabling them to better secure and manage their hybrid cloud infrastructure. Gigamon has served more than 4,000 customers worldwide, including over 80 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, 9 of the 10 largest mobile network providers, and hundreds of governments and educational organizations.

This role leads integrated new product introduction (NPI) programs for complex hardware platforms from architecture through production release. Working across Hardware Engineering, Firmware, Software, FPGA, Systems, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and external partners, the role drives cross-functional execution, technical risk management, compliance, and production readiness. The position combines strong program leadership with hands-on hardware understanding to resolve issues, manage phase gates, and maintain alignment across engineering and operational teams. This work enables Gigamon to deliver reliable, compliant, high-performance networking and security products on schedule.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the integrated NPI program plan, including milestones, critical path, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, decisions, and phase-gate readiness from architecture through production release.
  • Drive engineering validation test (EVT), design validation test (DVT), production validation test (PVT), pilot production, and mass-production readiness, including entry and exit criteria, build plans, go/no-go reviews, recovery plans, and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate board spins, rework, engineering changes, defect triage, root-cause analysis, retesting, and closure of critical hardware issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison across Hardware Engineering, Firmware, Software, FPGA, Systems, Mechanical, Thermal, Reliability, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Product Operations.
  • Lead requirements reviews, integration reviews, technical risk reviews, supplier checkpoints, build-readiness reviews, phase gates, and leadership updates.
  • Manage JDM and OEM partners, contract manufacturers, PCB assembly suppliers, component suppliers, test laboratories, and other external technology providers.
  • Track BOM and AVL readiness, long-lead components, capacity, tooling, manufacturing test, DFM/DFA, design-for-test, yield, quality issues, corrective actions, and production ramp readiness.
  • Manage external hardware vendors, technical service agreements, tool subscriptions, certification vendors, and license renewals.
  • Drive configuration management and controlled change processes for schematics, PCB layouts, FPGA releases, BOMs, mechanical drawings, firmware, test procedures, manufacturing documentation, and released products.
  • Provide concise status reporting on milestone health, critical path, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, compliance status, and recovery actions.
  • Own the hardware compliance plan, certification schedule, regulatory dependencies, and release evidence for applicable markets.
  • Coordinate pre-compliance assessments, formal testing, test-house activities, failure analysis, retesting, corrective actions, declarations of conformity, regulatory marks, certificates, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain traceability between compliance requirements, design evidence, test results, deviations, waivers, certification decisions, and engineering changes.
  • Assess the compliance and certification impact of PCB revisions, component substitutions, enclosure changes, firmware updates, and manufacturing-site changes.
  • Partner with Product Security and Engineering on applicable hardware security requirements, including secure boot, root of trust, key storage, debug-port controls, component provenance, and SBOM inputs.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable EMI/EMC, product safety, environmental, and materials compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

What you’ve done:

  • Earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent hardware or engineering program management experience may be considered.
  • Built significant experience managing complex hardware development programs, preferably for networking, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, or security products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complete hardware lifecycle, including architecture, schematic and PCB development, FPGA verification, prototype builds, board bring-up, system integration, qualification, certification, production ramp, and sustaining engineering.
  • Gained hands-on hardware lab experience troubleshooting boards and systems with engineering teams and driving issue resolution from observed data.
  • Brought up at least one PCB or complex hardware platform from initial power-on through functional validation.
  • Developed working knowledge of high-speed interfaces, power delivery, signal integrity, thermal management, chassis design, manufacturing test, reliability, and system validation.
  • Coordinated EMI/EMC testing, product safety evaluations, environmental qualification, reliability testing, and regulatory certification.
  • Applied expert program management practices, including integrated planning, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, change control, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
  • Delivered complex programs against challenging schedule, quality, cost, and performance targets in a large organization.

Who you are:

  • A technically grounded program leader who can connect engineering details with business and product outcomes.
  • A collaborative partner who builds alignment across cross-functional teams, suppliers, manufacturing organizations, and executive stakeholders.
  • An effective influencer who leads teams without direct authority and drives accountability through clear decisions, ownership, and follow-through.
  • A structured and disciplined operator who maintains visibility into critical paths, dependencies, risks, compliance requirements, and recovery actions.
  • A hands-on problem solver who is comfortable working in the hardware lab, interpreting technical data, and guiding issues to closure.
  • A clear and concise communicator who can translate complex technical and program information into actionable updates for varied audiences.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
