Payroll Specialist | Giles Automotive Group Lafayette, LA | Full-Time | In Person

With five locations across Louisiana and growing, we are dedicated to excellence in creating great customer and employee experiences. Nothing is more important than keeping our employees paid. As we grow, we are seeking a meticulous and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team. If you are detail-oriented, organized, have some experience in payroll, and are passionate about numbers, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll do:

  • End-to-End Payroll Management: Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees across our locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Compliance Assurance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records, including tax forms, direct deposit information, and benefit deductions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly, maintaining trust and transparency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and accounting teams to coordinate payroll changes, new hires, and terminations.
  • System Optimization: Leverage our ADP platform to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: At least 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-location or automotive dealership environment.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in ADP or similar HRIS platforms and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for accuracy, especially when working with numbers.

Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify improvements to payroll processes.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.

Integrity: High level of confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive information.
