  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Recommend optimal connector and power solutions based on application and system requirements.
  • Create 3D models, engineering concepts, and technical presentations to communicate proposed solutions.
  • Prepare and provide key engineering documentation including drawings, product specifications, lab test results, and material/plating analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Product Management, and Sales teams.
  • Engage thermal engineering and simulation resources when required to validate proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate and support laboratory testing related to customer designs and product proposals.
  • Support customer design-in activities and help drive projects toward successful design wins.
  • Identify emerging customer requirements and technology trends within the power connectivity market.
  • Participate in Voice of Customer (VOC) activities to support new product development.
  • Help develop technical strategies that differentiate products and solutions from competitors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering teams at key customer accounts.
  • Travel to customer and company locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience within the connector/interconnect industry, preferably supporting power-related products or applications.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical customer support that has contributed to design wins.
  • Strong understanding of connectors, interconnect systems, or related electromechanical components.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD/modeling tools such as Creo.
  • Experience with Product Data Management systems such as Windchill.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with power connectors, high-current interconnects, busbar/power distribution, or related power connectivity products.
  • Knowledge of server, storage, networking, or data center rack-level architectures.
  • Familiarity with thermal considerations related to high-power electronic systems.
  • Experience supporting product testing, validation, and qualification.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, EIA, IEC, or Telcordia.
  • Experience working directly with OEM engineering organizations.
  • Strong understanding of connector product development and manufacturing processes.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a customer-oriented engineer who combines strong mechanical and interconnect engineering knowledge with the ability to build trusted relationships with customer engineering teams.

They should be comfortable discussing technical requirements, reviewing designs, developing product concepts, coordinating internal engineering resources, and helping customers move from initial requirements through validation and production.

Candidates with direct experience in power connectors and data center/server hardware applications will be especially relevant.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
