Project Description

Our client, JM Family Enterprises Inc., is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer with a strong developer mindset and deep observability platform expertise. This hybrid role based in Deerfield Beach, FL focuses on architecting and supporting cloud-native applications across Azure and AWS, optimizing enterprise observability platforms, and leveraging Generative AI tools to automate workflows, reduce alert fatigue, and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, takes full ownership of the application lifecycle, and thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment spanning operations, monitoring, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and deploy cloud-native applications within Azure and AWS environments using cloud-native services and a developer-first approach
  • Leverage Generative AI tools including GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to accelerate script development, automate resiliency workflows, and maintain high-quality technical documentation
  • Optimize observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds to enhance signal quality, reduce alert fatigue, and ensure actionable event routing
  • Own the full application lifecycle from initial code design and CI/CD pipeline automation through production support and iterative feature enhancement
  • Build and manage automation and scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash within a GitHub-based Dev workflow
  • Support hybrid environments spanning on-prem and Azure infrastructure including Azure Monitor and Log Analytics integrations
  • Assist with event management workflows to ensure alerts are actionable and correctly routed across operations teams
  • Collaborate with platform owners, operations, monitoring, and security teams to strengthen platform health and incident response capabilities
  • Contribute to runbooks, documentation, and operational improvements through incremental, high-impact wins
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities related to platform transitions and support on-call or escalation rotations as needed

Mandatory Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in software development or systems engineering with a developer-first approach to building and supporting scalable applications in public cloud environments
  • Proficiency in integrating Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude into the development lifecycle
  • Strong scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms including Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring platforms — SolarWinds, Datadog, Dynatrace, or similar
  • Modern GitHub Dev workflow experience — branches, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Solid understanding of incident and event management practices including alert triage, escalation, and ops collaboration
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams including operations, security, and platform owners
  • Familiarity with Agile or SAFe delivery models

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Working knowledge of SIEM platforms such as Azure Sentinel or CRIBL
  • Experience with log ingestion, troubleshooting, and security telemetry support
  • Familiarity with change management practices in enterprise IT environments
  • Exposure to Azure Active Directory and hybrid cloud environments
  • On-call or escalation rotation experience

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
