  • Act as the academic point of contact for lecturers and module teams.

Curriculum Development

  • Design and maintain high-quality module content, teaching materials, assessment briefs, and VLE resources.
  • Ensure curriculum content remains current, relevant, and engaging.

  • Develop robust assessment strategies and marking criteria.
  • Support consistency of assessment, moderation, and feedback practices across teaching teams.

Quality Assurance

  • Contribute to quality enhancement activities and academic governance processes.
  • Monitor module performance and implement improvements where required.

Student Success

  • Analyse performance, progression, attendance, and engagement data to enhance student outcomes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving retention, continuation, and achievement.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with academic colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality student experience.
  • Share best practice and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for passionate educators with strong academic and leadership experience who are committed to delivering an exceptional student experience.

You should be confident leading academic initiatives, supporting colleagues, and using data and insight to drive continuous improvement.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCertHE, PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to work towards this).

Teaching Experience

  • Significant teaching experience within the UK education sector, preferably within Higher Education and/or Further Education.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing students at Level 3 and/or Levels 4 and 5.

Leadership Experience

  • Proven experience of providing academic leadership, curriculum leadership, module leadership, or programme leadership.
  • Experience supporting and guiding academic teams to ensure consistent standards and student outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of academic quality assurance processes, assessment, moderation, and academic integrity.
  • Experience using student performance data and quality metrics to inform improvement initiatives.

Communication

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to motivate, influence, and collaborate effectively with academic colleagues.

Desirable

  • Experience within a widening participation or diverse student environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
