Summary of Role:

The Fab9 Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process module is seeking a motivated Principal Process Engineer to become part of our 200mm Fabricator team, fully on site, at Fab9 in Essex Junction, VT. This Mon-Fri daytime position will sustain, improve, and own existing CVD processes as well as develop new ones. The ideal candidate will support fabrication of dielectric and conductive films utilizing CVD methods and applicable chemistries.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate daily with maintenance technicians, process technicians and peer engineers to meet production demands
  • Drives continuous improvement projects with respect to equipment availability, cost reduction, and yield improvement
  • Supports or leads cross functional problem solving, involving facilities, maintenance and equipment engineering
  • Supports installation and startup of new or retrofit equipment
  • Mentor and lead lower-level engineering team members

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Education –Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Materials or related engineering field plus 4-5 years relevant experience OR Masters degree plus 2-4 years relevant experience OR PhD plus 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Problem solving and communication of action plans
  • Travel - Up to 10%
  • Fluency in English Language – both written & verbal
  • Physical Capacity Demands – Ability to lift and carry parts up to 30 lbs. Stand, or bend and crouch to inspect, or work on equipment in the clean room for extended periods of time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Advanced data analysis experience
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, equipment and clean room facilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fab 9 data systems
  • Project management and communication of plans

Expected Salary Range

$85,000.00 - $146,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
