What You Will Do *
The Hardware CSE plays a key role in providing technical and sustainment support for engine hardware by interfacing with the customer, program office, Field Service Engineer/Representative, and engineering organization in support of our warfighter.
Typical Responsibilities:
• Responses to Technical Field Questions (Action Requests)
• Support Engineering Investigations (Deficiency Reports)
• Technical Maintenance Manual Data Creation/Updates/Interpretation
• Author technical presentations and Field Information Notices as required
• Maintenance Awareness Briefings
• Engineering Changes /Design Reviews for Sustainment Impacts
• Field Implementation / Retrofit Planning / Service Test Letters
• Support Technical Conferences as needed
• Production Quality Notification (QN) and Escape (6015) support
• Provide direct, in-person support for a variety of significant field efforts. Represent the department by being generally capable of adding value in solving customer support issues, not directly related to the field assignment
• Ability to travel up to 10% mostly to our F135 Field Sites

Qualifications You Must Have *
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 1+ years of prior experience. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives primarily within area of responsibility. Work is moderately supervised typically on smaller projects or task-related activities. Identifies, defines and resolves problems that are not immediately evident. Problems are typically within a single area of responsibility and are typically solved through exercise of discretion and/or judgment, often drawing from prior experiences or standard procedures and basic analysis. Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of work area. Communicates with parties within and outside of own team to explain facts, policies and practices related to work area, influencing decision-makers with recommended courses of action.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
