What You Will Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will be responsible for performing material processing and fixture / mold design work to support programs including polyurethane, composite, rubber, and/or metallic materials.
- Design and develop fabrication and material processing methodologies for development programs
- Design and build fixtures and shop aids to support development programs
- Document designs and fabrication methods
- Meet project schedule and costs
- Plan and conduct work requiring sound engineering judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
- Perform various risk assessments and develop processes that comply with RTX standards in regards to Environmental, Health and Safety, including ergonomics
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization
- Work with floor supervisors to achieve schedule and address technical issues
- Interface with shop floor personnel for the purpose of communicating technical information and promoting the technical image of RTX
- Knowledge and experience in the fundamentals of Continuous Improvement (Lean manufacturing/ACE/Toyota Production System)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with computer aided design (CAD) software and SAP
- Experience working on cross-functional teams
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
- Previous experience in design & production environment and polyurethane processing
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint)

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
