The Airborne RF Electronics Design Department is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer – HW Value Stream CPTL on our Production Growth Test team. As a member of the Production Growth Test team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of cross-disciplined engineers and driving the production growth capacity. You will also manage cost, schedule, and execution for applicable scope of program. The HW Value Stream CPTL also develops and tracks applicable technical performance measures and metrics; establishes a strong technical baseline with disciplined change management; and employs risk and opportunity management. In addition, you will communicate and collaborate with executive leadership, customers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
- Manage engineering tasks within program schedule and budget
- Ensure product results meet customer’s expectations
- Collaborate across a range of technical disciplines
- Address the multiple viewpoints of the stakeholders
- Lead role in proposal submissions
- Work with program management and engineering leadership throughout execution
- Drive production capacity growth for Power Supply Assembly (PSA) Value Stream
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- A minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience in Electrical and/or Systems engineering that includes program execution and integration.
- Experience overseeing risk and identifying opportunities within complex aerospace/defense programs
- Experience with Aerospace and Defense Systems and/or Test equipment
- Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
- Experience overseeing risk and identifying opportunities within complex aerospace or defense programs
- Experience applying data driven practices to facilitate team decision processes
- Proposal development, cost modeling, bid strategies, and technical volumes
- Experience applying data driven practices to facilitate complex team decision processes
- Proven experience in managing technical risks across multiple contracts, including the ability to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks to ensure successful program execution and deliverables.
- Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical risks
- Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
- Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination and preparation of detailed technical team reports
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification
- Technical leadership role or experience

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
